Marsh is seeking candidates for the position of Digital Content and Search Lead, based out of our Dublin office.

 

Reporting to the Global Digital Marketing Lead, this is a senior global role accountable for setting strategy, governance, operating models and implementation across Marsh’s digital content and search ecosystem, including content marketing, organic search, paid search, and AEO. 

 

You will also shape and drive the AI skills, workflows, agents, and operating model needed to improve content quality, search performance, personalization, experimentation, testing and optimization at scale.

 

This position plays a critical leadership role within Global Digital Marketing, influencing platform roadmaps, transformation initiatives, content strategy and development, and execution through clear governance, data analytics/insights, and senior stakeholder engagement. You will work closely with Practice and Regional Marketing teams to dive content best practices, performance and effective omni-channel implementation.

We will count on you to:

• Global Strategy: Define and own the global strategy, frameworks, policies, operating models and implementation approach for digital content and search (organic, AEO, paid).
• AI Strategy, Tooling & Enablement: Define and scale AI-enabled workflows and agents to support end-to-end, content and search enrichment, personalization, testing, QA, and continuous optimization.
• Data drive insights and optimization: Use analytics and audience insights to drive personalization, journeys, testing, optimization, and continuous improvement. Establish a test-and-learn approach across content and search, including A/B testing, measurement, and scaling of winning approaches.
• Governance: Oversee online content governance, including editorial standards, quality, accessibility, brand alignment, localization, IA, SEO/AEO, and site health.  Own global paid search governance, including standards, agency roster, controls, reporting, and performance oversight.
• Platforms, Tools & Operating Model Alignment: Act as the primary governance partner to the Platforms Team, influencing CMS workflows, templates, componentry, and tooling to support scalable, governed content and search execution. Ensure governance requirements are reflected in platform roadmaps and transformation initiatives.
• Cross‑Functional & Regional Collaboration: Work closely with digital execution (web, email, PPC), Digital Transformation, Platforms, and Practice/Regional Marketing teams to align governance with execution, transformation programs, and regional needs. Serve as a senior escalation and contact point for governance‑related issues.
• Performance Management & Executive Reporting: Define, monitor, and report on global KPIs for content and search governance, including compliance, accessibility, quality, performance, adoption, and operational efficiency. Deliver clear executive‑level insights, dashboards, and recommendations to senior management.
• Enablement, Change & Adoption: Lead global enablement and change programs to embed governance standards, search best practices, and AI adoption across marketing teams. Develop guidance, training, and communications to support consistent understanding and application.
• Continuous Improvement & External Perspective: Maintain a strong external perspective on industry trends, regulatory developments, and emerging technologies. Translate insights into practical improvements to governance frameworks, operating models, and tooling.

What you need to have:

 

The ideal candidate will be an experienced digital marketing leader with the credibility to operate at senior and executive levels across a global organization. Ideally, you will have:

 

• Experience driving and governing AI use in workflows, skills and agents including human review, quality control, and risk management.
• Experience using data, analytics, and KPIs to drive prioritization, experimentation, testing, and decision making.
• Experience with enterprise CMS platforms, search and paid search technologies, analytics tools, and AI-enabled solutions.
• Strong understanding of content governance, SEO/AEO, paid search, accessibility standards, and digital marketing best practices.
• Strong executive communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
