GE Vernova is looking for a motivated Sourcing Intern to support sourcing, procurement, supplier engagement, analytics, and process improvement activities. This internship is designed for college Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors who are interested in building early career experience in supply chain, sourcing, operations, business analytics, engineering, or related fields while contributing to meaningful work in the energy industry.

Job Description

The Sourcing Intern will work with GE Vernova sourcing professionals to learn how supplier relationships, data, compliance, and operational execution support business priorities. The role provides exposure to real-world sourcing processes, cross-functional collaboration, and tools used to support supplier performance, cost productivity, delivery, quality, cash, and continuous improvement outcomes. Interns will receive guidance from assignment leaders and team members while developing professional skills through hands-on assignments, team engagement, and learning opportunities.

What you will do

• Support sourcing projects related to supplier management, data analysis, process improvement, sustainability, and operational execution.
• Assist with supplier research, spend analysis, purchase order review, savings tracking, and sourcing performance reporting.
• Learn and apply sourcing tools, dashboards, and standard work to help teams make informed business decisions.
• Collaborate with Sourcing, Finance, Engineering, Manufacturing, Materials, Quality, Legal, and other business partners as needed.
• Help prepare presentations, trackers, summaries, and project updates for team meetings and leadership reviews.
• Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to simplify work, improve data quality, and strengthen process discipline.
• Participate in team meetings, intern learning experiences, development activities, and networking opportunities.
• Demonstrate GE Vernova values and a commitment to safety, integrity, inclusion, quality, and customer-focused execution.

Required Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university as a Freshman, Sophomore, or Junior.
• Pursuing a degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Engineering, Finance, Data Analytics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Demonstrated academic achievement and interest in building business, sourcing, or supply chain experience.
• Ability to work in a team environment, communicate clearly, and follow through on commitments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel and PowerPoint.
• Legal authorization to work in the country where the internship is based, as required by local law and program guidelines.

• Interested in sourcing, procurement, supplier management, analytics, sustainability, operations, or project management.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to organize information, identify trends, analytics problem solving, and summarize insights.
• Self-starter who is eager to learn, asks thoughtful questions, and takes ownership of assigned work.
• Comfort working with data, spreadsheets, dashboards, and structured problem-solving methods. Experience with AI tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present information clearly and professionally.

The pay range for this position is $960-$1,160 USD weekly. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

This position is also eligible for:

Relocation Assistance: Co-op/Interns will be reimbursed for reasonable, proper, and documented expenditures incurred while initially reporting to work and returning to school/home upon completion of the assignment. Employees with a permanent address greater than 50 miles away from the work location are eligible.

Housing Allowance: Co-op/Interns employees receive a weekly housing allowance to help off-set living expenses when the co-op/Intern’s permanent residence is at least 50 miles away from the work location.

GE Vernova Retirement Savings Plan (RSP) after their accumulated service reaches 90 days, and they meet any other eligibility requirements as defined in the plans. (Eligibility occurs on the 1st of the month following the 90th day.)
