What you will have an opportunity to do:

We are looking for a highly motivated individuals to join us Full-Time in our Hotel Front Desk team!

As a Front Desk Agent, you are responsible for greeting and registering guests in a warm and welcoming manner, delivering excellent guest service to elevate every aspect of their stay, and anticipating guest needs to create a personized and memorable experience.

The ideal candidate uses their engaging personality to create a memorable first impression for our guests. While checking in, registering guests, the Front Desk Agent is a source of knowledge for the guest for everything about the hotel, its amenities, and the local Downtown Austin and surrounding area.

Your Role:

• Help guests discover their “Wanderlust” experience
• Provide exceptional customer service by being engaging and taking sincere interest
• Check guests in, ensuring proper credit is received, special requests are noted and fulfilled, and accurate information is established.
• Help to resolve problems and “WOW” guests through recovery when things aren’t quite right
• Promote and sell special hotel programs.
• Interact with hotel/resort staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary information.
• Be knowledgeable of all emergency procedures and policies.
• Maintain house bank.
• Communicate all pertinent information to manager on duty.
• Follow set procedures on posting, charges, cashing checks, safe deposits, and refunds.
• Assist other departments as needed.

What are we looking for?

• Previous experience in a hotel front desk, guest services or similar service role, is required, preferably with a full-service hotel. 
• Excellent communication skills with ability to communicate effectively in the English language, both verbally and in writing. 
• Must have open availablily to work various shifts, AM or PM, including weekends and holidays, to meet operational needs.
• Outgoing and engaging personality with thorough understanding of customer service behaviors and strong interpersonal skills. 
• Ability to multi-task, adapt and prioritize in a fast-paced work environment.  
• A strong desire to make an impact on other people
• Strong computer skills including experience using Microsoft Office Suite Products; ability to work multiple complex systems simultaneously.
• Capable of remaining in a standing position, either stationary or walking, for duration of shift. 
• Positions self to raise, lower, and extend arms to perform essential job functions; Ability to lift and carry up to 15 lbs. regularly. 
• Must be
• High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in hospitality or related field preferred.
