DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Finance Manager will be responsible for successful delivery of a comprehensive range of financial services and support to the account/client. He/she is also responsible to manage the day-to-day financial and accounting operations with particular focus on the client’s reporting requirements at both local and regional level. The Regional Finance Manager must also monitor and ensure that efficient use of the accounting resources contribute towards Jones Lang LaSalle’s revenue and profit objectives.

Leadership (where applicable)

·       Provide clear direction and strategic Financial advice to the team across the region

·       Sets objectives and measurable goals and motivates others to achieve them

·       Maintain all relevant policies and procedures with respect to all financial and support services associated with the account

Client/Stakeholder Management

·       Serve as a primary liaison with the Client’s primary financial managers/units.

·       Lead by example and groom the team in achieving maximum client satisfaction level

Budgeting and Reporting

·       Oversee and lead the activities of the team across the region with respect to Information, Report Production and Financeial Administration

·       Ensure accurate and timely financial information is provided to all members of management team

·       Ensure adequate flow of information that results in accountability and ownership

·       Ensure timely production of annual budgets / forecasts for the portfolio in conjunction with Regional Operations Director and Regional Functional managers

·       Maintain thorough understanding of client’s accounting structure and associated systems and translating knowledge to ensure smooth and consistent flow of financial data

·       Develop, maintain and deliver in timely manner the Client’s approved financial formats across the region

Data Management, Policies & Procedures and Audit

·       Ensure data integrity of the systems across the region and audit data from time to time

·       Ensure that appropriate process and system controls are in place and maintained to guarantee the integrity of all transactions

·       Ensure that all financial accounting and reporting is audit worthy and in keeping with recognized quality management processes

·       Ensure all finance staff are well trained on financial systems and effectively able to extract data from the system

Required Qualifications & Experience

·       Minimum 6 years’ of Property Accounting experience

·       Degree qualifications in Accountancy or similar field will be an advantage

·       Experience in a variety of accounting software

·       Ability to draw coherent input from a variety of functional units to compile a financial information

·       Demonstrated experience with client reporting and preparation of reports

·       Has an eye for detail to ensure the best delivery of services

·       Goal-oriented, able to focus on meeting all performance targets

·       Capacity to deal with ambiguity and solve complex problems effectively

·       Analytical, proven ability to solve problems using an objective approach

·       Proven ability to employ holistic approaches and looks at long term solutions

·       Excellent planning & organizational skills to prioritize work and meet tight deadlines
