You’ll play an important role in managing financial information and claims, ensuring expenditure is accurately recorded and evidenced, while also working closely with colleagues, partners and external stakeholders.

As this is a new contract, you’ll have the opportunity to become involved in a wide range of tasks and help establish effective processes as the service develops.

  • Reviewing expenditure and supporting documentation to ensure claims are accurate, eligible and fully auditable.
  • Working closely with operational and finance colleagues to gather and verify information required for financial claims and audits.
  • Processing and reconciling financial transactions and payments accurately and efficiently.
  • Responding to and resolving payment queries, escalating potential risks where appropriate.
  • Supporting month-end processes in line with organisational requirements.
  • Ensuring financial controls, policies and procedures are followed.
  • Supporting meetings through tasks such as preparing agendas, gathering information and taking minutes.
  • Managing the Connect to Work shared mailbox, ensuring enquiries are dealt with promptly and appropriately.
  • Producing and distributing monthly newsletters for partner agencies.
  • Gathering information from operational, performance and partnership teams to support newsletter content.
  • Providing wider administrative and project support to the Connect to Work team as required.

You’ll be comfortable working with a range of colleagues, partners and external stakeholders and will have strong communication and organisational skills.

You’ll be able to prioritise your workload in a busy environment, manage competing demands and ensure deadlines are met.

Experience in a customer care, healthcare, education or social care environment would be valuable, alongside previous clerical, administrative or reception experience.

While experience of the employability sector would be beneficial, we’re also open to candidates who can demonstrate strong transferable finance and administration skills.

What you’ll need

Essential:

  • Demonstrable clerical, administrative or reception experience.
  • Experience within a customer care, healthcare, education or social care setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages, including Outlook, Word and Teams.
