We are pleased to announce that we are currently seeking an Environmental Administrator to join our team in Head Office, Ballymount, Dublin 22. This role will support the Environmental Department in maintaining compliance with environmental management systems, project environmental requirements, sustainability initiatives and regulatory obligations. The successful candidate will provide administrative support, assist with environmental reporting, maintain environmental records and documentation, and support project teams in achieving environmental objectives.
You will have strong communication, IT and organisational skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a dynamic team in a fast-paced construction environment.
Responsibilities include but is not exclusive:
- Maintenance and processing of environmental records, including administration of environmental documentation and filing systems.
- Support the management and control of environmental documentation, permits, licences, inspections and monitoring records.
- Assist with tracking environmental objectives, targets and action plans across projects.
- Coordinate environmental data collection and reporting, including waste, energy, water and sustainability metrics.
- Assist in the preparation of environmental reports and project environmental performance updates.
- Support environmental audits and inspections, including coordinating schedules, collecting evidence and tracking corrective actions.
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of the Environmental Management System (EMS).
- Maintain registers relating to waste management, incident reporting, environmental aspects and impacts, and compliance obligations.
- Support environmental awareness initiatives and training programmes across project teams.
- Liaise with project teams to ensure environmental documentation is maintained and up to date.
- Provide administrative support to the Environmental Manager and wider Environmental Team.
- Assist with monitoring compliance with company environmental policies, procedures and industry best practices.
Requirements
- Relevant third-level qualification in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Sustainability or related discipline desirable.
- Minimum 3 years' general office or administrative experience.
- Exceptional PC skills and excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite essential.
- Experience in data management, reporting and document control.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
- Previous experience working within construction, engineering, manufacturing or a regulated environment would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001) desirable.
- Familiarity with environmental compliance, sustainability reporting or waste management processes is an advantage.
