We are looking for a technically credible and highly organized engineer to manage the day-to-day operations of our technology vendors across cloud, infrastructure, DevOps, SaaS, observability, networking and managed services. You will work closely with engineering, finance, procurement, legal and security teams to ensure vendor services remain reliable, cost-effective and aligned with business priorities.
ABOUT THIS TEAM
Infrastructure team provides various services including automation, observability, cloud/server/network architectures, CICD, infrastructure as code, database administration, incident management, vendor management, security and compliance, and acquiring new skills. These services help to improve efficiency, reduce errors, and ensure fast and reliable application releases while maintaining security and compliance. Techops help teams monitor applications and infrastructure, create resilient infrastructure, identify and resolve IT service issues, manage vendors, and ensure cloud security and compliance. The team also focuses on continuous learning and implementing new technologies to provide better value to the organization.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Operational Governance: Support Order Form, Purchase Order, PoCs, SoWs, transition planning and vendor lifecycle management. Maintain risk registers, domain inventory and renewal calendars.
- Stakeholder Communication: Prepare concise, decision-ready reports for engineering and leadership teams, coordinate vendor meetings, and ensure timely escalation of operational risks and issues.
- Vendor Operations: Act as the primary operational contact for assigned technology vendors, coordinate onboarding, service reviews, SLA/KPI tracking, renewals, operational escalations and prepare inputs for strategic vendor meetings.
- Technical Evaluation: Review architecture diagrams, monitoring dashboards, performance trends and RCA reports to assess vendor performance, identify gaps, and recommend improvements.
- Commercial & FinOps Support: Analyse cloud consumption, licence utilisation, invoices, pricing benchmarks and total cost of ownership. Maintain vendor spend, renewal forecasts and identify cost optimisation opportunities
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- Technical Cloud Background: Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS / Azure / GCP), and familiarity with IaaS/PaaS/SaaS services, reliability, observability, and service delivery.
- Vendor & Service Management: Experience with vendor governance, SLA/KPI management, service reviews, renewals and operational lifecycle management.
- Analytical and Commercial Ability: Able to review logs, dashboards, performance trends, and invoices. Understands licence utilisation, cost tracking, concentration risk, and security/compliance dependencies, and presents evidence-based recommendations.
- Communication and Documentation: Excellent written and verbal English communication, able to run vendor and stakeholder meetings and translate technical issues into business impact. High precision in maintaining vendor records, action logs, cost tracking and renewal calendars
