Job Role: E-Commerce & Marketplace Manager
Compensation range: $2000 AUD - $3000 AUD / Monthly
Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement
Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

Role Overview:
Reporting To: Head of Marketing
Seniority: Mid-Senior Level
Own the day-to-day commercial performance of the company’s digital sales channels by acting as the primary liaison between the business and its e-commerce agency. Drive growth, optimisation, and reporting across Amazon Vendor Central, Amazon Seller Central, and the company’s owned e-commerce platform.
Key Responsibilities:
Agency Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for the external e-commerce agency.
- Monitor agency performance against agreed KPIs.
- Challenge recommendations and ensure activity aligns with business priorities.
- Coordinate implementation with internal stakeholders.
Amazon Management — Primary Focus
- Oversee Amazon Vendor Central and Seller Central operations.
- Review catalogue health, content quality, and listing compliance.
- Monitor sales performance, advertising effectiveness, and inventory risks.
- Identify growth opportunities across product categories and brands.
- Manage promotional planning and seasonal activity.
Owned E-Commerce Platform — Secondary Focus
- Monitor website performance, traffic, and conversion metrics.
- Coordinate content updates, merchandising, and promotions.
- Recommend improvements to customer experience and conversion.
- Balance website growth opportunities against retail channel considerations.
Reporting & Analytics
- Produce regular performance dashboards.
- Track sales, conversion, advertising efficiency, and profitability.
- Present insights and recommendations to leadership.
- Help establish channel-specific KPIs.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Supply Chain teams.
- Ensure product launches and promotions are reflected across digital channels.
- Coordinate inventory availability and forecasting considerations.
Requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Ideal Candidate
- 5+ years’ experience in e-commerce or marketplace management.
- Strong Amazon Vendor Central and Seller Central experience.
- Experience managing agencies or third-party partners.
- Strong analytical and commercial mindset.
- Comfortable working independently with Australian stakeholders.
- Experience with Shopify, Magento, or similar platforms.
- Strong reporting and Excel or Power BI skills.
