Job Role: Digital Transformation/ AI Management
Compensation range: $2000 AUD - $3000 AUD / Monthly
Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement
Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

Role Overview:
Reporting To: Head of Marketing
Seniority: Mid-Senior Specialist
Act as the internal owner of AI adoption across the business. Bridge the gap between executive leadership, operational teams, and external consultants to ensure technology initiatives deliver measurable business outcomes and become embedded into day-to-day operations.
This role is less about being a technical AI engineer and more about translating emerging technologies into practical business processes and operational improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Roadmap
- Develop and maintain the organisation’s AI and automation roadmap.
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity and efficiency across the business.
- Prioritise projects based on commercial value and operational impact.
- Ensure initiatives remain aligned with company objectives.
Consultant & Vendor Management
- Act as the primary liaison between the business and external technology consultants.
- Review recommendations and ensure they are practical and commercially relevant.
- Drive project execution and accountability.
- Facilitate knowledge transfer from consultants into the business.
Business Process Improvement
- Translate technology capabilities into repeatable business processes.
- Work with department leaders to identify and redesign inefficient workflows.
- Develop standards, governance, and adoption frameworks.
- Ensure solutions integrate smoothly with existing systems and processes.
Microsoft Ecosystem Ownership
- Champion Microsoft Copilot and broader Microsoft 365 capabilities.
- Identify opportunities for automation using Microsoft tools and platforms.
- Support adoption across Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Power Platform environments.
- Establish best-practice standards and usage guidelines.
Change Management & Adoption
- Lead internal training and capability development.
- Create adoption plans for different departments and user groups.
- Measure engagement, usage, and business outcomes.
- Assist teams in adapting to new ways of working.
Governance & Compliance
- Develop policies and standards for responsible use of AI and automation.
- Ensure appropriate security, compliance, and data management practices are maintained.
- Work alongside IT and leadership teams to manage risk and governance requirements.
Requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Ideal Candidate
- 6+ years’ experience in digital transformation, business systems, technology consulting, or enterprise software implementation.
- Strong understanding of the Microsoft ecosystem.
- Experience leading organisational change and technology adoption programmes.
- Ability to communicate effectively with executives, consultants, and operational teams.
- Strong commercial and business process mindset.
- Proven project and stakeholder management capability.
- Experience delivering measurable business improvement through technology.
