We are searching for the best talent for a Director, Supply Chain Inventory (OMNI)! Are you ready to advance your career? Join our world-class global team!

You will lead OMNI (Optimizing Management of Network Inventory), the inventory optimization programme for Innovative Medicine Supply Chain across Biotherapeutics, Synthetics and Advanced Therapy platforms. The role is accountable for partnering closely across all supply chain functions, translating business strategy into a multi-year inventory roadmap that protects cash flow while sustaining patient service, supply resilience, growth, capacity and cost objectives.

You will develop a high-performing team that identifies opportunities, shapes decision-ready recommendations and works with accountable business leaders to deliver and sustain results.  This role offers significant exposure across a complex, regulated and globally distributed supply network and is a key member of the Global Planning Biotherapeutics Team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategy: Own the OMNI vision, operating model and multi-year roadmap, aligning inventory strategy with business plans, budget, forecast and LRFP commitments.
  • End-to-end target setting: Reconcile top-down cash and financial objectives with bottom-up operational requirements across brands, markets, sites and material types; establish clear guidance for trade-offs involving service, safety stock, batch size, shelf life, quality release, capacity, absorption, growth and resilience.
  • Governance and decision rights: Design and operate inventory governance, including ownership, thresholds, approval triggers, escalation paths and executive recommendations. Connect governance to IBP, SRM, DSRM, MPC, financial cycles and leadership forums.
  • Financial-cycle leadership: Lead inventory actuals, projections, risks and opportunities through planning cycles; explain drivers, assumptions, headwinds and mitigation actions; and ensure a consistent link between operational inventory and financial outcomes.
  • Inventory Intelligence Hub: Lead integrated analytics and AI-enabled insight generation to identify excess, outliers, structural drivers, headwinds and early-warning signals across demand, supply, quality, shelf life and network constraints.
  • Data and digital products: Define data, metric and reporting requirements; strengthen data integrity, controls and traceability; and develop sustainable dashboards and decision-support capabilities with GPEx, and process owners.
  • SLOB prevention: Establish leading indicators, governance and action plans that prevent excess and obsolescence, accelerate disposition decisions and connect inventory and reserve implications.
  • Execution and adoption: Convert insight into owned action plans with brands, sites and regions; track decisions and benefits to closure; and verify improvements are embedded in standard processes and sustained.
  • People leadership: Build, coach and retain a diverse, high-performing team with strong programme, analytics, strategy and stakeholder-management capabilities.
