We have an exciting opportunity for a Director of Transformation & Chief of Staff to join our Senior Management Team, working closely with the Chief Executive Officer to shape and deliver the Group's strategic priorities and transformation agenda.

This is a senior leadership role combining strategic advisory support to the CEO with responsibility for establishing and leading the Group's Transformation Office. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving organisational performance, overseeing major transformation programmes and ensuring the effective delivery of strategic initiatives across the business.

This is a full-time role for 37.5 hours a week, based in London, with occasional national travel required.

Duties of this role include:

  • Develop and manage a Group-wide transformation roadmap, ensuring initiatives are aligned with Board, shareholder and organisational priorities.
  • Lead and oversee complex strategic, operational and organisational change programmes, driving measurable improvements in performance, efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Work closely with the Executive Leadership Team, Board and senior stakeholders to ensure strategic alignment, effective decision-making and delivery of business objectives.
  • Review and enhance organisational structures, operating models and governance arrangements to support business growth, scalability and operational effectiveness.
  • Establish robust programme governance, reporting frameworks and executive dashboards to monitor progress, manage risks and track the delivery of transformation benefits.
  • Prepare high-quality Board papers, executive briefings, business cases and strategic presentations, providing actionable insights to support leadership decisions.
  • Build strong relationships across the Group, influencing and constructively challenging senior stakeholders to drive accountability and successful delivery of strategic priorities.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Significant senior-level experience in strategy execution, business transformation, programme leadership or operational improvement within a large or complex organisation.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading large-scale transformation programmes and delivering measurable organisational change.
  • Experience working closely with CEOs, Boards and executive leadership teams, providing strategic advice and influencing senior-level decision-making.
  • Experience establishing or leading a Transformation Office, Programme Management Office (PMO) or equivalent strategic function.
  • Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking, with the ability to translate organisational priorities into clear plans and measurable outcomes.
  • Excellent programme and portfolio management capabilities, with experience overseeing complex, cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of organisational design, operating models, governance and business performance improvement.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills, with the confidence to challenge constructively at executive level.
  • Highly analytical and financially literate, with the ability to evaluate business cases, assess return on investment and demonstrate transformation benefits.
  • Experience preparing Board-level reports, executive presentations and strategic business cases.
  • Degree-level qualification or equivalent professional experience. An MBA, relevant postgraduate qualification or professional accreditation in programme, project or change management would be advantageous.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced and complex environment, demonstrating discretion, sound judgement and a collaborative, results-driven leadership style.
