Our client is a software startup making sports training more engaging through gamification. Our platform connects training facilities, commercially available sensor systems, and players through mobile apps and the web, turning practice into a social and competitive experience.

About the role

We’re looking for a hands-on DevOps Engineer to own and improve our mobile and web build, release, and deployment workflows.

You’ll work with GitHub Actions, Expo, EAS, React Native, Supabase, Next.js, and React to help a small, fully remote engineering team ship reliable updates. Alongside release engineering, you’ll troubleshoot React Native issues, fix bugs, and contribute UI updates when needed.

What you’ll do

• Manage, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines, build systems, and deployment workflows for mobile and web applications.

• Build and improve GitHub Actions workflows, including automated testing and release checks.

• Manage iOS and Android builds and releases using Expo/EAS, App Store Connect, and Google Play Console.

• Configure and manage over-the-air updates, versioning strategies, and release environments.

• Support A/B testing frameworks and automated testing integrations.

• Improve developer tooling, Supabase services, and infrastructure supporting Next.js and React applications.

• Troubleshoot build and deployment failures and resolve React Native bugs and UI issues.

• Take ownership of practical engineering tasks as priorities evolve.

What we’re looking for

• 3+ years of experience in DevOps or infrastructure engineering focused on mobile and web platforms.

• Strong hands-on experience with GitHub Actions, Expo, EAS, and React Native.

• Proven experience managing production releases through both App Store Connect and Google Play Console.

• Experience configuring versioning strategies, OTA updates, and A/B testing environments.

• Proficiency with Supabase and the Next.js and React ecosystems.

• Ability to make React Native code changes, including bug fixes and UI updates.

• Strong troubleshooting skills, ownership, and the ability to manage changing priorities in a small startup team.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting automated end-to-end and integration tests in CI/CD.

• Experience implementing 3D graphics in mobile applications outside gaming.

• Experience developing for hardware sensors or integrating sensor data.

• Meaningful engineering ownership of shipped cross-platform products.

• Interest in product design, user experience, and software quality.

• A love of baseball or other sports, particularly skills training.
