JOB DESCRIPTION:
Back Market is on a mission to make refurbished tech the new norm. To achieve this, we use data to better understand our customers, improve their experience, and make smarter product and business decisions.
Within the Data Division, the Customer Experience Analytics team supports teams working across the customer journey, CRM, and Services. We help the business understand customer behaviors, identify opportunities to improve the experience, and measure the impact of new initiatives.
As a Customer Journey & App Analytics Apprentice, you will primarily support the Customer Journey and App Analytics scope. You will work closely with Product, Tech, UX, and Business teams to analyze customer behavior, support experimentation, and turn data into actionable insights.
This apprenticeship is a great opportunity for a curious, structured, and business-oriented student who wants to develop strong skills in product analytics, experimentation, customer journey analysis, and mobile app analytics.
YOUR MISSION (IF YOU ACCEPT IT): 🥇
Support the analysis of customer journeys across Back Market’s website and mobile applications, from discovery and purchase to delivery, return, and after-sales service
Contribute to the preparation, analysis, and monitoring of Customer Journey experiments, including A/B tests and other experimentation initiatives
Help formulate analytical hypotheses, define success metrics, analyze experiment results, and identify actionable recommendations
Investigate customer behavior across different touchpoints, segments, markets, and devices
Support the analysis of mobile app usage, including engagement, conversion, and retention metrics
Explore app analytics data to identify opportunities for improving the customer experience and app performance
Build and maintain recurring dashboards, reports, and analyses for key stakeholders
Help investigate unexpected trends, data quality issues, tracking gaps, and inconsistencies in customer journey or app data
Contribute to the improvement of event tracking plans and analytics documentation
Translate business and product questions into relevant analyses, metrics, and data requirements
Present findings and recommendations in a clear and accessible way to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Participate in Customer Experience Analytics team rituals, including planning, knowledge sharing, peer reviews, and documentation
YOU ARE IN THE RIGHT PLACE IF: ⭐
You are pursuing a Master’s degree, or equivalent, in data analytics, data science, business analytics, economics, engineering, marketing analytics, or another quantitative field
You have a strong interest in customer behavior, product analytics, experimentation, and digital products
You have solid SQL skills and are comfortable writing, reviewing, and improving analytical queries
You have an analytical mindset and enjoy investigating the reasons behind changes in customer behavior or business performance
You understand the main principles of A/B testing and experimentation, or are motivated to learn them
You are interested in mobile app analytics and want to understand how users interact with digital products
You are comfortable working with data from different sources and are attentive to data quality and consistency
You can turn complex analysis into clear insights and practical recommendations
You communicate clearly in written and spoken English
You are curious, rigorous, organized, and willing to ask questions
You are autonomous and comfortable collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
You enjoy working in a fast-paced, international, and collaborative environment
Bonus point if :
You have experience with analytics tools such as Amplitude, GA4, Mixpanel, or similar platforms
You have already worked on A/B testing, experimentation, or product performance analysis
You are familiar with mobile app analytics, event taxonomies, or tracking plans
You have experience working with BigQuery or another cloud data warehouse
ABOUT THE APPRENTICESHIPℹ️
Starting date: January 2027
Duration: Ideally for 12 months (24 months to be discussed).
Location: Bordeaux, France
Contract: You must already be enrolled in a work-study program in a French school (contrat d'alternance / d'apprentissage)
