About the opportunity

The Faculty of Engineering is seeking a motivated Curriculum and Quality Officer to support the implementation, management and quality assurance of the Faculty's curriculum. Reporting to the Manager, Curriculum and Quality, you will play a key role in accreditation activities, course reviews, curriculum planning, system implementation, and curriculum-related support services.

Working closely with academic and professional staff across the Faculty, you will support the end-to-end delivery of course reviews and accreditation activities, including stakeholder engagement, documentation preparation, evidence collection, reporting, and implementation of outcomes. You will also assist with curriculum proposals and system implementation, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of curriculum data across University systems. You will contribute to the successful delivery of high-quality academic programs through effective curriculum governance, reporting and quality assurance processes.

Note that this is an embedded role that may be deployed across different Schools depending on operational needs, so the work location may vary from School to School.

The role will provide the successful candidate with broad exposure to academic and professional staff, a range of degree programs and curriculum activities, and relevant accreditation bodies. This provides an opportunity to develop a strong understanding of curriculum management, accreditation and education operations across the Faculty.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

• support the end-to-end delivery of course reviews and accreditation activities across the Faculty, including planning, stakeholder engagement, documentation preparation, evidence collection, review activities, site visit support, reporting, and follow-up actions

• manage and maintain accreditation and course review documentation, evidence and records, ensuring requirements, timelines and outcomes are effectively monitored

• analyse and interpret curriculum requirements and implement approved changes within University curriculum management systems

• maintain accurate course and unit of study information across systems including Sydney Student (SITS), Sydney Curriculum, Sydney Courses, CUSP and the Handbook

• undertake quality assurance activities to ensure curriculum data integrity, compliance and accuracy across Faculty and University systems

• prepare and analyse curriculum, enrolment and student data reports to support accreditation, course reviews and informed decision-making

• provide curriculum advice and administrative support to academic and professional staff, course review panels and curriculum governance activities

• assist with curriculum proposals, implementation activities and curriculum management processes as needed

About you

• a bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, or an equivalent combination of training and experience

• familiarity with curriculum administration, accreditation processes, course review processes or academic program management within a higher education environment

• strong analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

• demonstrated ability to interpret and apply complex policies, procedures and regulatory requirements

• excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with a broad range of stakeholders

• strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines

• proven ability to work collaboratively within a team environment

• demonstrated experience using curriculum management systems or similar enterprise systems

• experience in data analysis, reporting and advanced spreadsheet use

• a proactive approach to continuous improvement and service excellence
