About the role 

As Cook A at 91 Athens Riviera, you will be a key member of our culinary team, preparing high quality dishes, upholding our kitchen standards and helping the kitchen run efficiently. The role calls for advanced cooking skills, creativity and a strong commitment to food safety. 

What you will do 

Kitchen operations 

• Prepare and cook a wide range of dishes with a focus on quality, taste and presentation, following standard recipes and portion sizes. 

• Monitor quality throughout cooking, tasting dishes and adjusting seasoning and ingredients as needed. 

• Work with the Head Chef or Executive Chef on new dishes and help deliver seasonal and special menus, adapting to guest preferences and dietary requirements. 

Teamwork and training 

• Coordinate with the kitchen team for timely service. 

• Mentor and train less experienced cooks and kitchen team members. 

• Share your knowledge of cooking techniques and best practice. 

Health and safety 

• Keep the kitchen clean and organised and follow all health and safety regulations to ensure food safety. 

Requirements

 What you will bring 

• At least 3 years of experience in a professional kitchen, ideally in high volume or fine dining. 

• Proven skill in a range of cooking techniques and cuisines. 

• Thorough knowledge of food safety, hygiene regulations and kitchen procedures. 

• Very good spoken English. 

• Good computer skills, including MS Office. 

• The ability to work under pressure and manage several priorities in a fast paced kitchen. 

• Strong organisational and time management skills. 

• Excellent communication and teamwork. 

• The ability to build strong working relationships within the hotel and across the group. 

• A culinary degree or equivalent certification from a recognised culinary school is desirable. 

• A second foreign language is desirable.
