Job Summary
Loenbro is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to join our growing team. This role will manage Inside Plant (ISP) connectivity and data center construction projects from planning and bidding through completion.
The ideal candidate has experience managing data center, low-voltage, structured cabling, fiber, or telecommunications construction projects and is comfortable owning project budgets, schedules, subcontractors, vendors, and customer relationships.
This is also an opportunity to help build and develop Loenbro's Connectivity program, including project processes, bidding practices, training, and scheduling standards.
The position is remote with approximately 50% travel to active construction sites, data centers, and customer locations. Current projects may include Colorado, Dallas/Texas, Iowa, Wyoming, and other U.S. markets.
Essential Job Responsibilities (2-6 bullets MAX)
- Manage Connectivity Projects: Lead ISP and data center connectivity projects from kickoff through closeout, ensuring work is delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to customer expectations.
- Plan & Schedule: Develop project plans, schedules, milestones, and resource requirements. Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractors to keep projects on track.
- Manage Budgets: Develop and monitor project budgets, forecasts, costs, and profitability. Identify financial risks and take corrective action when needed.
- Bidding & Estimating: Support project bidding, take-offs, scope review, pricing, vendor coordination, and procurement. Help establish efficient bidding processes as the Connectivity program grows.
- Lead Field Teams: Coordinate technicians, subcontractors, vendors, and field leadership. Provide clear direction and resolve project issues quickly.
- Manage Customers: Serve as a key customer contact, provide project updates, manage expectations, and address issues throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage Changes: Review, document, price, and coordinate change orders and scope changes while managing their impact on cost and schedule.
- Ensure Quality & Safety: Maintain compliance with project specifications, applicable codes, customer requirements, and Loenbro EH&S policies.
- Build the Connectivity Program: Help develop standardized project management processes, training, bidding practices, scheduling standards, and other tools that support the team's growth.
- Project Closeout: Ensure punch-list items, documentation, customer acceptance, and final billing are completed accurately and on time.
Minimum Qualifications
Required: (2-4 bullets max)
- 5+ years of recent Project Management experience in telecommunications, connectivity, low-voltage, structured cabling, data center construction, or a related construction environment.
- Demonstrated experience managing Inside Plant (ISP) projects. Primarily OSP experience is not the target profile for this position.
- Experience with data center connectivity, structured cabling, fiber optics, network infrastructure, or related low-voltage systems.
- Proven experience managing project budgets, schedules, change orders, subcontractors, vendors, and customers.
- Strong construction project management, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness and ability to travel approximately 50%.
Preferred: (2-4 bullets max)
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering, Business, or related field.
- Experience with Bluebeam, Procore, Accubid, and/or Primavera P6.
- Experience with Division 27, TIA/EIA, BICSI, NFPA, or OSHA requirements.
- Experience helping build project processes, training programs, or operational standards.

Work Environment:
- Hybrid: Remote management of project planning, scheduling, and client communication.
- Field & Site Visits (Around 50% Travel): Frequent, regular travel to job sites and data centers regionally and possibly nationwide. This includes spending significant time at active outdoor construction sites with exposure to weather extremes, noise, and dust.
This role requires compliance with all applicable safety regulations, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and Loenbro's Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) policies.
