Northrop Grumman Space Systems, Multi-Domain Operations, and Missile Defense Integration Business Unit (BU) has an exciting career opportunity for a Computer Operations Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be at Schriever Space Force Base (SSFB) in Colorado Springs, CO.
Position Overview:
Northrop Grumman’s team at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado Springs is seeking a motivated individual that possesses technical and problem-solving skills necessary for quickly developing recommendations based on quantitative and qualitative data. This is someone who can understand the general problem space and is confident in explaining the different insights generated from the data.
Will work a shift schedule that follows a Pittman schedule with shifts from 10 am to 10 pm and 10pm to 10 am.
Essential Functions:
- Working on shift as part of a 24/7/365 Operational Team
- Coordinate operational activities in support of Real-World Operations
- Troubleshoot software and OS to restore operational status
- Technical presentations and analysis reports as required
- Performance analysis of missile tracking
- Monitor and maintain system components (servers, software, network)
- Ground and Flight Test support
- Linux System Administration
- Track/log Real World Events

Basic Qualifications:
Please note your updated and current security clearance level and IAT/relevant certifications on your resume if applicable.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 2 years of related work experience, or a Master's Degree in STEM and 0-2 years of related work experience; or 6 years of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- Applicants must have a current, active DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (such as CompTIA Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CySA+, CND, etc.) at the time of application, which is required to start.
- Applicants must have a current active in-scope US Government issued Top Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start with SCI eligibility.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to develop technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact with customers, management, and team members
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to look at system status/operations to determine and address system conflicts
- Ability to maintain and troubleshoot Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers
- Comfortable working in a dynamic and demanding work environment
- Ability to work shift schedule that follows a Pittman schedule with shifts from 10 am to 10 pm and 10pm to 10 am.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Python/BASH scripting experience
- Experience with NetApp, RSA, Cisco, and HPE servers
- Experience in an operational environment
- Understanding of basic statistics
- Experience with missile trajectory analysis
- Familiarity with the Ballistic Missile Defense System
- Familiarity with Overhead Persistent Infrared
- Experience in performance analysis, requirements verification, validation, and working with algorithms
- Experience working with DoD systems
- Experience with MDA/BMDS/C4ISR
- Proficient with the use of Linux Operating systems
