About the Team

The mission of Global Legal Services (GLS) within the Legal, Compliance, and Corporate Affairs (LCCA) team is to enhance the Legal organization’s support for Workday by focusing on simplicity, speed, scale, and skills, thereby accelerating strategic growth and improving the customer experience. The GLS Center of Excellence (CoE) focuses on developing business strategy for LCCA, leading ground-breaking efforts in process optimization, resourcing, and risk management, and enabling operational efficiencies in technology management and data harmonization.

About the Role

As a CLM & Template Manager, you will serve as the strategic lead and operational support for the CoE by owning the technical architecture, conditional logic, and end-to-end maintenance of Workday’s Order Forms and contract templates. You will drive cross-functional alignment between Deal Operations, Pricing, and Business Technology (BT), while dual-managing legacy and next-generation CLM systems to maximize deal velocity and unlock over operational efficiencies.

Responsibilities:

• Template Logic & Architecture: Own the maintenance, programming, and continuous optimization of complex conditional logic across monthly Order Form releases and ad hoc legal template updates.
• CLM Systems Management: Dual-manage legacy and next-generation contract systems during full migration, designing intuitive contract template conditionality, playbooks, and system configurations that simplify frontline execution.
• Frontline Enablement & Hypercare: Champion CLM playbooks, enablement programs, and training for deal negotiators; deliver rapid User Acceptance Testing (UAT), release testing, and hypercare support during major system deployments.
• Pricing & Deal Strategy Alignment: Partner deeply with Pricing, Revenue Operations, and Business Technology (BT) teams to translate strategic GTM launches, pricing adjustments, and business rules into precise technical template programming.
• AI-Enhanced Automation & Innovation: Integrate human-AI collaborative workflows and prompt engineering tools to accelerate logic troubleshooting, automate playbook updates, and optimize complex conditional rule mapping.

About You

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in program management, contract lifecycle management (CLM) administration, deal operations, or legal technology architecture.

Legal Technology & Innovation

• Contract Logic & Technical Architecture: Deep expertise in CLM contract logic and architecture (x-Author, Conga, SFDC preferred) with proven ability to translate complex business rules into conditional template logic.
• AI Workflow Proficiency & Innovation: Experience leveraging generative AI tools, automated logic validation, and prompt engineering to streamline documentation, rule modeling, and workflow automation.
• Process Optimization & System Migration: Demonstrated ability to manage complex system interactions, dual-maintain legacy and next-gen systems, and execute robust UAT and hypercare environments.

Strategic Problem Solving

• Revenue Operations Alignment: Deep understanding of the full deal lifecycle and how operational efficiency directly impacts time-to-revenue and contract precision.
• Data Literacy & Systems Thinking: Capability to audit complex system interactions, manage release testing environments, and derive actionable process improvements from transactional data.
• Pragmatic Risk Management: A creative, business-first approach to solving complex deal execution hurdles while maintaining structural compliance across automated Order Forms.

Communication & Stakeholder Management

• Requirement Gathering: Active listening and technical translation skills to convert ambiguous pricing and deal strategy needs into concrete conditional template requirements.
• Strategic Communication & Enablement: Ability to simplify complex technical requirements for non-technical frontline deal teams and cross-functional partners in Pricing and Revenue.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven ability to build and sustain strategic partnerships across Business Technology, Deal Operations, Pricing, and Global Legal Services CoE.

Operational Execution

• Self-Direction: Ability to manage high-output workloads, complex release cadences and competing priorities independently.
• Adaptability: Thrives in a fast-paced, matrixed environment where systems, software, and GTM strategies evolve rapidly.

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below.  Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Additional US Location(s) Base Pay Range: $114,800 USD - $203,900 USD
