Über diese Clinical Training and Education Lead Stelle bei Montu UK

Montu UK · Hybrid · London

What is the job?

This is an opportunity to shape how our clinical teams learn, develop and perform as Montu continues to grow.

Sitting within the Learning and Development function, you will take ownership of the learning experience across our clinical teams. You will build structured, engaging and practical development programmes that give our people the knowledge, skills and confidence to deliver safe, consistent and patient-centred care.

You do not need to be a clinician or hold a professional healthcare registration. However, you will need to understand the realities of working in a clinical environment, including the importance of patient safety, clinical governance, regulatory compliance and quality.

Working closely with clinical subject-matter experts, operational leaders and the wider People team, you will turn complex standards, processes and clinical requirements into learning that people can understand, apply and embed in their everyday work.

This is a hands-on role for someone who is passionate about developing people, confident working with specialist stakeholders and comfortable building learning solutions in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

What You Will Own

Clinical Learning and Development

  • Own the learning and development plan for our clinical teams, ensuring it supports business priorities, service growth and workforce capability

  • Design and deliver structured onboarding, induction and ongoing development programmes for new and existing team members

  • Build clear learning pathways that support employees from joining the business through to continued development and career progression

  • Create engaging workshops, digital learning, practical resources and supporting materials for a range of clinical audiences

  • Conduct training needs analyses, skills audits and capability assessments to identify current and future development priorities

  • Deliver group workshops, virtual learning sessions and one-to-one coaching where required

  • Support the delivery and monitoring of mandatory training and continuing professional development requirements

Competency and Capability

  • Develop clear and practical competency frameworks in partnership with clinical subject-matter experts

  • Create consistent approaches to assessing knowledge, skills and competence across clinical teams

  • Work with managers to identify capability gaps and put appropriate development plans in place

  • Support leaders in embedding coaching, feedback and reflective practice within their teams

  • Ensure learning is transferred into day-to-day performance rather than ending when the training session finishes

Clinical Standards and Governance

  • Work closely with Clinical Governance, Quality, Safeguarding and operational leaders to ensure learning reflects current standards and requirements

  • Translate clinical policies, pathways, Standard Operating Procedures and regulatory requirements into clear and practical learning

  • Support the rollout of new clinical services, systems, technologies and ways of working through effective training and change support

  • Ensure relevant learning supports Care Quality Commission standards, patient safety requirements and internal governance expectations

  • Recognise where specialist clinical input or approval is required and work with the appropriate subject-matter expert

  • Maintain accurate learning, competency and compliance records across clinical teams

Learning Impact and Continuous Improvement

  • Establish clear measures of success for learning programmes and evaluate their impact on capability, performance and service quality

  • Use assessment outcomes, employee feedback, audit findings, quality data, incidents, complaints and patient feedback to identify learning priorities

  • Produce meaningful learning insights and reports to demonstrate progress, risks and areas for improvement

  • Regularly review and improve learning content to ensure it remains accurate, relevant and effective

  • Identify opportunities to improve how learning is delivered, recorded and embedded across the business

  • Champion a culture where learning, coaching, feedback and continuous improvement are part of everyday work

Stakeholder Partnership

  • Build credible and trusted relationships with clinical, operational and People leaders

  • Partner with subject-matter experts to create learning that is clinically accurate, engaging and appropriate for its audience

  • Coach and support managers to identify development needs and build capability within their teams

  • Balance learning priorities with operational requirements in a busy and fast-moving environment

  • Act as the Learning and Development lead for relevant clinical change and transformation projects

What do you need?

  • Strong experience within Learning and Development, workforce development, operational training or a similar role

  • A good understanding of clinical or healthcare environments, including patient safety, clinical governance, quality and regulatory requirements

  • Experience designing and delivering engaging learning programmes for specialist, operational or regulated teams

  • Strong learning design skills, with the ability to turn complex or technical information into clear and practical learning

  • Experience developing structured onboarding programmes, learning pathways or competency frameworks

  • Excellent facilitation, coaching and communication skills

  • The confidence to work with clinical specialists and senior stakeholders without needing to be the clinical expert in the room

  • Strong stakeholder-management skills and the ability to build credibility across different teams

  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and evolving business

  • Strong project-management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver work through to completion

  • Experience using data, feedback and performance measures to evaluate learning and drive improvement

  • Experience supporting organisational change, service transformation or the implementation of new systems and processes

  • Confidence using learning management systems, digital learning tools and reporting platforms

  • A relevant Learning and Development, education or training qualification would be beneficial but is not essential

  • Professional registration with a healthcare body is a plus, but not required

What we offer:

  • Generous Leave: 25 days holiday (rising to 27 after year one and 30 after year three) + 8 bank holidays

  • Pension Matching: Up to 5% employer matching contributions

  • Flexibility and Wellness: Work-from-home options, cycle-to-work scheme, private healthcare and more

  • Growth Opportunities: Collaborate across teams with support to grow your skills and impact
