·       Level 1: Estimated annual base pay: $20.67 - $26.92 Plus overtime & shift premium

·       Level 2: Estimated annual base pay: $24.52 - $31.73 Plus overtime & shift premium

At our Loves Park facility, we’re seeking a detail-oriented Calibration Technician to join our team on 2nd Shift, M-F 1:30pm-10pm. This entry-level to mid-level position plays a key role in maintaining the precision and reliability of measurement equipment used in high-stakes aerospace manufacturing and maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) operations.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on technical environment and wants to contribute to high-precision aerospace work.

Training shift: M-F 6am-2:30pm

 

Level I:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform Equipment Calibration: Conduct routine calibration of laboratory instruments and equipment according to established standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain Calibration Records: Accurately document calibration data and maintain detailed records to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Support Maintenance Activities: Assist in the maintenance and troubleshooting of calibration tools and systems under the guidance of senior technicians.
  • Adhere to Quality Standards: Follow all quality guidelines and protocols to ensure the accuracy and reliability of calibration processes.
  • Communicate Technical Information: Share calibration results and technical information effectively with team members to facilitate collaborative operations.

  • Time Management: Efficiently manages routine calibration tasks within designated time frames.
  • Safety Compliance: Observes safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment during calibration processes.
  • Attention to Detail: Maintains a high level of accuracy and thoroughness in all calibration related tasks.

 

Level II:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform Equipment Calibration: Executes calibration of instruments and equipment according to established standard operating procedures to ensure accurate and reliable measurements.
  • Maintain Calibration Records: Documents calibration procedures, results, and maintenance activities meticulously to comply with quality assurance standards.
  • Identify and Resolve Issues: Detects and addresses common calibration problems by applying analytical methods and following predefined protocols to maintain measurement integrity.
  • Conduct Equipment Maintenance: Performs routine maintenance and minor repairs on calibration tools and machinery to sustain optimal functionality and performance.
  • Communicate Technical Information: Shares complex technical data and calibration outcomes effectively within the team to support collaborative objectives and enhance overall quality.

 

Key Skills:

  • Calibration Techniques: Proficient in performing precise equipment calibrations using industry standard methods.
  • Measurement Instruments: Skilled in operating and maintaining various calibration and measuring instruments.
  • Standard Operating Procedures: Expertise in following and implementing SOPs to ensure consistent calibration processes.
  • Data Analysis: Competent in analyzing calibration data to identify trends and ensure accuracy.
  • Technical Documentation: Ability to accurately document calibration procedures and results.
  • Quality Assurance: Knowledgeable in quality control principles to maintain high calibration standards.
  • Problem Solving: Adept at identifying and resolving calibration related issues following established protocols.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous in ensuring all calibration tasks meet specified accuracy and precision requirements.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Capable of performing routine maintenance on calibration equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Technical Communication: Effective in conveying technical information and calibration results within the team.

 

Additional Information: 

Moderate physical activity requiring agility and dexterity, including walking, standing, or bending; and lifting or moving objects. Work is performed in an area with moderate risk or discomfort that may require special safety precautions, such as wearing protective clothing or gear. May be required to pass Near Vision and/or Color Vision examinations. 


Successful Candidates typically have:

  • Previous calibration or metrology experience
  • Familiar with ISO17025 & ANSI Z540
  • Calibration database experience (Managing & documentation)
  • Knowledge and ability to read and interpret blueprints & GD&T
  • Basic computer skills
