Responsibilities:

• Support FinTech applications and processes across Procurement, Supply Chain, and FP&A, including Oracle ERP, Oracle HCM, Jira, and Google Workspace
• Design, build, and maintain automation workflows using Workato, Python, and related tools under the mentorship of senior team members
• Identify manual, repetitive processes across finance and business operations and help translate them into automated, well-documented solutions
• Write SQL queries to extract, transform, and validate data across source systems
• Support data validation and reconciliation processes to ensure accuracy across integrations, reports, and applications
• Explore and prototype AI-powered solutions using tools such as LangChain, Workato AI, and UiPath
• Configure and maintain Jira automation rules to support intake, tracking, and delivery of FinTech projects
• Assist in building reports and dashboards that give stakeholders visibility into financial and operational data
• Participate in testing of new automations, integrations, configuration changes, and system updates
• Learn to gather business requirements from stakeholders and translate them into functional technical solutions
• Provide first-level end-user support and troubleshooting across FinTech applications and automated workflows
• Participate in stakeholder meetings, process mapping sessions, and training

Experience:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree at a university in Canada (required) in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field, with a graduation date between December 2027 and Summer 2028 (required). For any candidates who are master's students who worked between their bachelor's and master's programs: candidates should also have less than 2 years of relevant full-time work experience
• Available during Summer 2027 for the internship in Toronto
• Working knowledge of Python for scripting, data manipulation, or automation
• Proficiency in SQL for querying and analyzing data
• Experience with or strong interest in Workato or similar integration platforms
• Proficiency with AI frameworks such as LangChain, Workato AI
• Experience with automation tools such as Jira automation, Python scripting
• Basic understanding of financial financial reporting
• Proficiency in Excel and Google Workspace
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical partners
• Self-motivated with the ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
• Nice to Haves:
  • Familiarity with Procurement, Supply Chain, or FP&A processes
  • Experience with business intelligence tools and building reports or dashboards
  • Exposure to data engineering concepts such as data pipelines, data modeling, or ETL
  • Prior internship or project experience in automation, data analysis, or business systems

The expected base pay range for this position in the Toronto area is CAD $40 - CAD $43 per hour. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location. Your recruiter can share more information about the salary range specific to your working location and other factors during the hiring process.
