Job Description

Brooks Automation is seeking a Supply Chain Planning Business Process Owner (BPO)/Lead to join the Business Process Excellence (BPE) team. This role reports to the Director of Business Process Excellence and is responsible for defining, standardizing, and transforming Brooks' end-to-end Supply Chain Planning business processes.

The Supply Chain Planning BPO will own global process governance across Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP). A key focus of this role is serving as the functional lead for Oracle Cloud Supply Chain Planning (SCP), ensuring scalable, compliant, and efficient planning operations that support Brooks' growth, customer commitments, and digital transformation agenda.

This role requires strong transformational leadership, deep domain expertise in advanced supply chain planning and SIOP, and the ability to collaborate across Operations, Procurement, Manufacturing, Finance, IT, and regional teams in a global, matrixed environment.

Work Location: Malaysia Johor Bharu On-Site

Key Responsibilities

Process Ownership & Design

Own and govern global Supply Chain Planning business processes, including:

  • Demand Management & Forecasting (Statistical Forecasting, Consensus Demand Planning)
  • Supply Planning & Master Production Scheduling (MPS, Material Requirements Planning - MRP)
  • Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP)
  • Inventory Optimization and safety stock policy setting

Define future-state Supply Chain Planning process architectures aligned with Brooks' operational strategy, lead-time reduction goals, and customer delivery expectations.

Identify and prioritize short- and long-term planning process improvements, standardization opportunities, and advanced analytics initiatives across global planning centers.

Transformation & System Enablement

  • Lead Supply Chain Planning process blueprinting, baseline configuration, and validation for Oracle Cloud SCP modules (Demand Management, Supply Planning, Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning).
  • Act as the key functional expert to maximize the adoption of standard Oracle Cloud SCP functionalities, ensuring data integrity and configuration scalability to support Brooks' organic growth and M&A integration strategy.
  • Advocate for the reduction of manual and Excel-based planning processes through Oracle system adoption, automated netting, and robust master data governance (e.g., lead times, bills of materials, capacity constraints).

Cross-Functional & Global Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Procurement, Manufacturing, Finance, and IT leaders to align planning outputs with commercial goals and execution capabilities.
  • Work with other Business Process Owners (e.g., Manufacturing, Inventory, Order Management, Procurement and Finance) to ensure seamless end-to-end integration across Plan-to-Make, Source-to-Pay, and Order-to-Cash value streams.
  • Drive global alignment, decision-making, and issue resolution where planning ownership, site-specific supply constraints, or multi-echelon hand-offs exist.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of business experience in Supply Chain Planning, SIOP Management, or related process domains.
  • Proven experience leading global business process optimization and enterprise system implementations, with specific hands-on experience in Oracle Cloud Supply Chain Planning (SCP).
  • Strong understanding of multi-echelon supply chain planning, material constraints, capacity planning, and their financial and operational impacts.
  • Experience with highly constrained, high-tech, or capital equipment manufacturing environments preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional, global initiatives and influence without direct authority.
  • Strong process mindset with the ability to challenge the status quo and drive continuous and transformational planning improvements.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex planning scenarios effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Experience supporting M&A integration is preferred.
  • Limited domestic and international travel may be required.
