The Affinity Operations teams are impacted by many projects every year, many with the goal of moving us forward along our journey to be a digital leader with superior customer service. The Operations Support team is looking for a Business Analyst to support projects in our Affinity Insurance team.  Our job is to make it easier for our Operations partners to do their jobs. What role will I play?

As a Business Analyst, you will work closely with a team of analysts, Value Stream staff, and business partners to deliver Affinity initiatives or projects, with strong focus on business readiness. Your contributions will ensure our business teams are able to embrace project deliverables without negatively impacting their productivity.

You possess an excellent balance of analytical, communication, and process design skills.  You are comfortable asking questions and challenging others to ensure we understand the details, and how they will impact Operations.  You know how to build successful relationships with your coworkers and mesh naturally in an environment with geographically and culturally diverse cross-functional teams.

Position Responsibilities:

• Understanding the business impacts of initiatives or projects.  There will be heavy focus on determining the impacts to our business processes and building new or revised processes to enable our business partners to deliver seamlessly after project launch.
• Preparing our business partners for changes that are introduced and articulating what it will mean for them specifically.
• Using your analytical and critical thinking skills to ask questions, understand our business drivers and needs, and bring order and precision via detailed business requirements.
• Capitalizing on your ability to build and foster positive, effective relationships to strengthen your partnership with key stakeholders.
• Using your strong communication skills to collaborate with working groups and document business needs.
• Influencing your teammates with your positive attitude and passion for your role!

Required Qualifications:

• 2 or more years of relevant work experience in business analysis. 
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Power Point, Confluence, and JIRA experience would be an asset.
• Experience in Financial Services, especially Insurance would be an asset
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills while working in a face-paced environment with changing priorities
• Experience with process mapping and/or process design
• Ability to foster positive relationships and effectively lead various sized groups to attain collaborative and innovative solutions
• Adaptable and great aptitude for change; reprioritize conflicting workloads and deliverables
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills, with ability to adjust for different audiences
