Shape the Future of Wealth Management

Sun Life is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking AVP, Dealer Transformation to lead the evolution of our Retail Wealth Platform and transformation strategy. This executive role will define and execute a multi-year roadmap that enhances advisor and client experiences, accelerates digital innovation, improves operational efficiency, and supports the future growth of our wealth business.

As a key member of the Dealer Leadership Team, you will serve as a business platform owner, partnering across Distribution, Operations, Technology, Compliance, Risk, and Product teams to deliver meaningful business outcomes and position Sun Life for the future of wealth management.

What Will you do?

• Develop and execute the Retail Wealth Platform strategy and transformation roadmap.
• Lead enterprise-wide initiatives that modernize advisor and client experiences.
• Drive digital, data, automation, and AI-enabled capabilities across the dealer.
• Identify and implement opportunities to simplify processes, improve scalability, and increase operational efficiency.
• Partner with business leaders to build capabilities that support advisor growth and business expansion.
• Provide strategic leadership on technology modernization and platform evolution.
• Translate regulatory and industry changes into practical business solutions.
• Influence and align senior stakeholders to successfully deliver complex transformation initiatives.

What do you need to succeed?

• Senior leadership experience in wealth management, financial services, consulting, or business transformation.
• Strong understanding of the Canadian wealth management and advisor ecosystem.
• Proven track record leading large-scale business transformation initiatives.
• Experience developing strategic roadmaps and delivering measurable business outcomes.
• Expertise in digital transformation, automation, data, AI, and platform modernization.
• Strong business and financial acumen with experience building business cases and assessing investment opportunities.
• Knowledge of Canadian securities regulations and dealer operations.
• Exceptional executive communication, influence, and stakeholder management skills.

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
