Position Overview:

Boeing India Engineering & Technology Center (BIETC) is based in Bangalore, India and is engaged in the development of advanced aerospace and aviation technologies and software products. 

We are seeking a highly skilled Associate V&V Engineer – Instrumentation and Data Systems to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in system testing and verification, with a focus on automation and compliance with DO-178C standards. This role requires proficiency in system understanding, particularly in Data Systems, as well as a solid understanding of various communication protocols.

This role will be based out of Bangalore, India.

Position Responsibilities:

• Knowledge and hands-on experience on programing languages such as (LabVIEW, Python, C/C++)
• Develop validation plans, Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs) and traceability to requirements.
• Implement and run automated unit, integration and regression tests; automate test execution and reporting via CI/CD.
• Validate sensors and signal chains: calibration, accuracy, precision, linearity, noise, bandwidth, drift and environmental effects.
• Build and run HIL/SIL tests and provide mocks/stubs for fast unit tests.
• Unit test validation, functional check and system validation
• Manage test artifacts, golden files and binaries with versioning, checksums and metadata.
• Perform data analysis and uncertainty budgets (ISO GUM); produce concise verification reports and corrective actions.
• Diagnose failures with lab tools (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, DAQ) and software logs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand system requirements and translate them into test cases and automated tests.
• Conduct testing of various communication protocols, including WIFI6, Cellular, ARINC, Discretes, and Ethernet, to ensure robust system integration and performance.
• Analyze test results, document findings, and provide actionable insights to improve product quality.
• Participate in peer reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the testing process.
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in testing methodologies and tools.

Basic Qualification:

•  Bachelor degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical ,Material Sciences , or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
• Familiarity with various communication protocols, including WIFI6, Cellular, ARINC, Discretes, and Ethernet testing.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Familiarity with test case design, test execution, and defect lifecycle.
• Good problem solving, communication, and documentation skills.·        
• Comfortable working with tools (e.g., Git) and basic scripting or command line.·        
• Eagerness to learn avionics specific standards.·          ·        
• Experience with software development, simulation tools as well as various programming languages primarily used in instrument communication and control is a plus.·        
• Hands on experience and knowledge on test engineering application software such as NI LabVIEW, NI TestStand is must.·        
• Experience with hardware/software integration is a plus.·        
• Experience with automated test equipment, avionics, aerospace programs is a plus.·        
• Experience or knowledge of RS422/RS232, ARINC interface knowledge, TCP/IP & Ethernet, UDP and such communication standards, protocols and/or interfaces is desirable·

Preferred Qualifications: (Desired Skills/Experience)

• Experience with test management tools and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
• Knowledge of additional programming languages or testing tools is a plus.
• Relevant certifications in system/software testing or quality assurance.

Typical Education & Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 1-3 years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master 0.6+ years' related work experience.)
