The Job

• Drive the execution and transaction management of alternative investment opportunities across private credit, infrastructure, private equity, real assets, structured solutions, and other illiquid or semi-liquid strategies, in line with approved investment objectives, portfolio guidelines, risk appetite, and governance requirements

• Maintain active dialogue with external managers, general partners, arrangers, advisors, legal counsel, administrators, custodians, and other transaction counterparties to support deal execution, documentation, closing readiness, and post-closing follow-through

• Translate approved alternative investment decisions into actionable execution plans, including transaction timelines, funding requirements, due diligence workstreams, legal and tax review coordination, operational onboarding, and closing deliverables

• Partner with Group and local stakeholders to align transaction execution with portfolio allocation priorities, liability needs, cashflow planning, capital treatment, accounting considerations, regulatory requirements, and local entity constraints

• Coordinate execution across internal teams and local business units to ensure transactions are implemented in a timely, controlled, and well-documented manner

• Monitor transaction pipelines, execution status, capital calls, subscription processes, closing conditions, documentation progress, operational readiness, and key risks to support disciplined execution and escalation of issues where required

• Prepare transaction updates, execution trackers, closing checklists, due diligence summaries, investment committee materials, and post-execution reports for senior management, Group stakeholders, and local investment committees

• Track and review external manager activities, fund documentation, side letters, mandate requirements, fee terms, reporting obligations, and adherence to agreed investment, operational, and governance requirements

• Contribute to alternative investment platform development, process improvement, data quality, reporting, document management, and workflow initiatives that enhance execution discipline, transaction governance, and portfolio oversight

• Prepare, as necessary, regulatory filings and reporting

The Person

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Actuarial Science, or a related discipline; CFA qualification/candidacy is a plus.

• At least 8 years of experience in investment management, alternative investments, private markets, transaction execution, or related financial services; institutional investment experience preferred.

• Good understanding of alternative asset classes (e.g. private equity, private credit, infrastructure, real assets, co-investments, and fund investments) and transaction execution processes.

• Strong execution skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple transactions and stakeholders simultaneously.

• Sound knowledge of private market trends, liquidity, legal, tax, regulatory, and risk considerations.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across business functions and external partners.

• Proactive, commercially minded, and results-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership from deal execution through post-investment monitoring.

• Familiarity with insurance investment considerations (capital, liquidity, accounting, risk, and governance requirements) is an advantage.

• Strong analytical and reporting skills, with experience preparing management reports, trackers, and investment materials.

• Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and investment/workflow management systems; automation experience is a plus.
