Overview of the role:

We are the Animation Team within the Creative Department, responsible for bringing the artwork and ideas of our games to life through animation. Our goal is to create engaging, polished and fun animations for mobile slot games, while continuously developing our skills and improving the quality of our work. We work with Spine 2D, After Effects, Photoshop and Leonardo AI, combining solid animation fundamentals with modern tools and workflows. We value creativity, teamwork, attention to detail and willingness to learn. We enjoy experimenting, sharing knowledge and finding better ways to bring ideas to life.

We are looking for a 2D Animator who can bring characters, objects and game elements to life.

You should be comfortable with both realistic and stylized animation and have a good understanding of animation fundamentals and the 12 Principles of Animation.

You will work mainly in Spine 2D, creating animations that feel natural, expressive and fun, while fitting the visual style and technical requirements of mobile games.

We are looking for someone who has a good sense of timing, spacing, weight and movement, pays attention to detail, and is open to learning and improving.

This role follows a hybrid approach to working, allowing you to combine working from home with working in our modern offices. These discussions are between you and your manager to find the best pattern for you both, while recognising that quality time together is essential for keeping us mission-aligned.

What you’ll do:

• Create high-quality animations and visual effects for characters, creatures, animals, symbols, props and other game elements, ensuring proper staging, timing, and seamless integration with other game elements. Work with both stylized and realistic animation.

• Plan and present animation concepts, including animatics for prototypes and early-stage ideas, based on product specifications and project constraints.

• Review and quality-check final animations and effects, ensuring they meet product requirements and the team's quality standards.

• Collaborate with designers and cross-functional teams throughout the game development process to ensure all creative elements work together to deliver the best possible player experience.

• Contribute to creative discussions, including art reviews and brainstorming sessions, staying open to feedback and direction.

• Research market trends and competitor games to keep animation work fresh, relevant, and competitive.

• Drive innovation by introducing new tools, techniques, and best practices to improve the animation process.

• Maintain a library of reusable animation and visual effect assets to support efficiency on future projects.

What you’ll bring:

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

Must have:

• A demo reel showcasing your most outstanding animation and visual effects work.

• Hands-on experience creating animations and visual effects for games or interactive media.

• Strong understanding of core animation principles (timing, spacing, staging, etc.) and their application in game design.

• Proficiency in animation software (Spine 2D or similar).

• Ability to create compelling visual effects and understand how they enhance user experience.

• Excellent collaboration skills - you work well with designers, developers, and stakeholders across teams.

• Strong communication skills and confidence presenting your work to audiences at all levels.

• Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously without compromising quality.

• A problem - solving mindset and willingness to adapt and take on varied tasks as needed.

Nice to have:

• 5+ years of professional experience in animation and visual effects.

• Familiarity with casino slot games or gaming industry trends.

• Knowledge of video editing techniques and marketing - focused storytelling.

• Experience with game design tools and workflows beyond animation software.

• A degree or formal qualification in Animation, Fine Arts, or a related field.

• Experience with innovation initiatives or introducing new techniques to animation workflows.
