About The Role
As an Animal Facilities Tech, you will perform general facility cleaning and support for the Husbandry department within the vivarium.
What You'll Do Here
- Perform general facility cleaning (e.g., mopping, trash removal, floor scrubber, etc.) and laundry.
- Stocking PPE storage and usage areas.
- Assist with transferring vivarium equipment.
- Perform minor facility repairs.
- Operation of the cage/rack washer.Comply with the appropriate safety and study requirements as described in the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and governmental regulations.
- Comply with appropriate safety and health practices including personal protective equipment and barrier requirements, as applicable.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- No prior work experience is required.
- Ability to effectively comprehend and communicate (verbal and written) in a professional manner.
- Ability to work with a diverse group of people in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude toward work and co-workers.
