What you will be doing 

You will be on a development pathway to guide your growth into the role of Expert in Automation and AI-Driven Development and can expect to be involved in the following:  

In the planned rotational placement to support your growth into position, it is intended to complete multi-week practical sections in at least three departments (Production Planning, Manufacturing, and Test Field) within Operations. This will allow for an in-depth engagement with the various requirements and aspects. Additionally, phases in development and the supply chain are planned to understand the fundamental workflows. Special attention is given to the interfaces with and within Operations.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading digitalization and automation projects, including the implementation and management of associated tools within the development department.

• Identifying automation potential in development processes to increase efficiency and reduce development lead times.

• Taking a leading role in the introduction, application, and continuous advancement of automation tools (with a specific focus on AI tools) within the development area.

• Collaborating closely with key departments, including R&D, IT, Corporate Strategy, and Project Management.

• Acting as the primary point of contact for automation topics within the development department and serving as a liaison to external partners.

• Engaging directly with employees regarding the application of automation and AI, understanding their challenges, and supporting them in finding effective solutions.

• Proactively identifying emerging trends in automation and AI to leverage them for the company's competitive advantage.

• Designing processes and guidelines to ensure the efficient and secure use of AI in development and across other business areas.

What we are looking for

To be a successful applicant to the Airbus Global Graduate Programme, you will need to demonstrate you have:

• A degree level or equivalent within a relevant field of study ( Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable field of study)

• Recently graduated or first professional experience in the field of Manufacturing Engineering, Electronical Manufacturing, Automatisation, Robotics, Production Technology

• First experience in planning and implementing improvement projects

• Entrepreneurial thinking, as well as awareness of deadlines, costs, and quality

• Independent, goal-oriented, and solution-focused work style combined with excellent communication skills

• Strong verbal and written communication in our business language (English) as well as fluent skills in German language (corresponding to C1)

• A desire to work in a collaborative team environment, focused on driving future innovation

• The ability to be self aware and a wish to be in the driving seat of your development.
