The Role and Impact
As a Supply Chain Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping Intel's supply chain and logistics strategy, driving innovation, and ensuring operational excellence. This position provides you with the unique opportunity to influence Intel's future technology roadmap by contributing to next-generation methodologies, optimizing processes, and strengthening supplier performance. Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and optimize supply chain systems by identifying gaps, conducting root cause analyses, and implementing process improvements.
- Collaborating with Technology Development (TD) and Package Design teams to support technology sourcing initiatives
- Collaborating with Factory Module team to troubleshoot materials-related issues to support High Volume Manufacturing (HVM)
- Develop and execute material inspection methodologies and address variability that aligns with Intel's operational capability requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and enhance Intel's supply chain roadmap, benchmarking emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation.
- Partner with supply chain leads, commodity managers, and quality teams to implement supplier selection strategies and ensure compliance with operational and performance standards.
- Analyzing supply chain risks across materials and processes, developing alternate sourcing strategies for single-sourced commodities and mitigating supply chain risks
- Lead alternate sourcing risk mitigation efforts for single-sourced commodities to secure a resilient supply chain.
- Define KPIs, monitor performance, and initiate corrective actions to resolve supply chain issues effectively.
- Drive supplier process improvements focused on quality, reliability, yield, and cost reduction while maintaining high manufacturing availability standards.
- Manage supplier quality excursions by leading failure mode analysis and enforcing corrective actions to resolve systemic issues.
- Support product long-range planning by developing capabilities to address evolving market demands and manufacturing capabilities.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Chemical or Material Science or a closely related field.
- 6+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 4+ years with a Master's degree.

- Must be proficient in English and fluent in Japanese
- Proficiency in data analytics tools such as MS Excel, Power BI, and database management systems.
- Expertise in semiconductor supply chain processes and technical documentation.
- Demonstrated experience working with suppliers and driving performance improvements.
- Solid understanding of quality and process control methodologies such as FMEA, SPC, and 8D problem-solving.

Preferred Qualifications
- PhD in Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of SQL query writing, JMP, and JSL scripting for advanced data analytics.
- Proven ability to manage high-impact projects and engage with multiple stakeholders.
- Familiarity with Intel's factory operations and financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes.
- Hands-on experience negotiating with suppliers in a high-tech manufacturing environment.
