Established in 1980 as Dymax, the past forty years have been dedicated to innovation, growth, and diversification. Presently, Bachmann Chemical & Engineering stands as the backbone of its dynamic family of brands: Dymax, Bomar, Electronic Coating Technologies, and ALEO, collectively serving niche markets.

As a privately held company operating under the stewardship of the second generation, our roots run deep. With a global team that surpasses 500 talented team members, we have established our presence in key locations across the globe, including the United States, Canada, Germany, Ireland, China, Hong Kong, Korea, and Singapore.

Our journey began when visionaries Andy and Clai Bachmann pioneered the development of light-curable adhesives, starting in their home in northwestern Connecticut. Over the years, Dymax has secured over 30 patents for revolutionary rapid light-curable materials and a complementary portfolio of precision dispensing and curing equipment. In 1990, Bomar was acquired to support global formulators with innovative oligomer product development. In 2018, the acquisition of Electronic Coating Technologies (ECT) added in-house application services to help customers protect electronics with comprehensive manufacturing, supply, and design solutions. Building on this legacy of innovation, ALEO was introduced in 2023, offering groundbreaking, integrated LED engineering equipment solutions.
