About the Role
The ads team owns the product surfaces that drive growth for businesses on Whop. As an ML engineer on ads, you will work as the strategist behind Whop's autonomous ad operator - the system that decides what every business on Whop should test, how to allocate budget, and what to do with the results - shipping it into a live loop already wired into ad platforms and creative generation. What you'll do

What you need
- Minimum of 5 years experience in software development and or ML engineering roles

What you'll do
- Own and scale the event pipeline that fans out Whop's first-party conversion data to every ad platform and CRM we integrate with
- Ship new destinations end to end - auth, schema mapping, identity matching, deduplication, retries, and backfill
- Push match rates higher on every destination through better identity resolution, hashing, and normalization
- Deepen observability so we can answer "did this event land, get matched, and get attributed?" for any conversion, on any destination
- Work closely with the ad networks team to close the loop between ad spend and outcomes

Whop is seeking an Director, Accounting to build the company’s accounting foundation from the ground up.This is a hands-on role responsible for all aspects of accounting operations — including accounting, internal controls, month-end close, financial reporting, tax compliance, and audit readiness.
You will partner closely with the Corporate Controller and Head/ VP of Finance to transform Whop’s accounting function from startup mode into a disciplined, scalable operation.
This is an ideal role for a builder — someone who enjoys designing processes, leading from the front, and establishing strong financial hygiene in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment.
What You’ll Do
Build the Foundation
- Assist the Controller in design and implementation of Whop’s formal accounting policies, processes, and internal controls.
- Establish a structured month-end and year-end close process.
- Lead accounting system upgrades, process automation, and data quality initiatives.
Lead Core Accounting Operations
- Oversee all GL accounting, revenue recognition, cost of sales, payroll, and accruals.
- Manage cash, crypto, and other digital asset reconciliations.
Financial Reporting & Compliance
- Preparing and owning the financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
- Ensuring compliance with GAAP (or IFRS) accounting policies.
- Managing technical accounting questions — revenue recognition, equity, leases, etc.
- Owning the chart of accounts and accounting policy documentation.
- Develop accounting schedules and support investor, board, and management reporting.
Internal Controls & Systems
- Designing and maintaining the internal control environment (especially important pre-audit or as you scale).
- Owning the ERP/accounting system and chart of accounts.
- AP/AR oversight and cash reconciliation.
Foreign Entities
- Leading the decision and setup of new legal entities in foreign jurisdictions (working with local counsel and tax advisors).
- Determining the right entity structure (branch vs. subsidiary, etc.).
- Setting up local statutory reporting requirements.
- Managing inter-company accounting and elimination entries.
- Currency/FX accounting — functional currency determinations, translation vs. remeasurement.
- Ensuring local payroll, VAT registration, and statutory filings are in place.
People & Systems
- Supervise and develop the company’s accounting team and external consultants.
- Evaluate and implement scalable systems (ERP, accounting automation, expense management, and payroll integrations).
- Drive accountability, documentation, and data integrity across all financial operations.
Audit & External Relationships
- Issuing the RFP, evaluating firms, and making the recommendation (though final sign-off often sits with the CFO/board/audit committee).
- Managing the day-to-day audit relationship once selected — preparing schedules, responding to requests, coordinating PBC (prepared by client) lists.
- Liaison to external tax advisors for compliance filings.
What You Bring
- 12+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong operational and technical accounting background (US GAAP) — ideally with experience in SaaS, marketplace, or fintech revenue recognition.
- Hands-on operator: comfortable working in systems (NetSuite, Campfire, FloQast, Ramp or similar) and designing processes.
- Experience with audit management and financial statement preparation.
- Proven ability to hire, mentor, and scale a small team.
- CPA license or Big 4 background strongly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience implementing ERP or financial systems (NetSuite, Campfire, Ramp or FloQast).
- Exposure to payments/ fintech or ads accounting .
- Prior startup or marketplace experience — ability to thrive in ambiguity and build from scratch.
The expected salary range for this position is $180,000 to $230,000 annually, with final compensation determined based on experience, skills, and qualifications.

The Wallet team owns critical product surfaces that enable merchants on Whop to do more with their earnings: earn yield, buy crypto, manage expenses, issue cards and more. About The Role
We're hiring a Director of Compliance to design and own Whop's compliance program across all business lines. You'll own regulatory strategy and operational compliance across our payments platform and marketplace — from AML/KYC to trust & safety and privacy. You'll work closely with Product, Payments, and Leadership to build compliance into our business. This role will be part of our Legal, Compliance and Risk function.
Scope
- Design, build, and scale Whop's overall compliance program
- Own AML/KYC, sanctions screening, and transaction monitoring programs
- Manage trust & safety frameworks, prohibited products policies, and merchant underwriting
- Manage privacy, data protection, and regulatory compliance (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)

The Role
We're looking for a Strategic Finance Lead to be a key partner to our executive team as we scale. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role sitting at the intersection of finance, strategy, and operations. You'll own the financial model, drive critical business decisions, and help shape the direction of the company.
This is not a back-office accounting role. We want someone who can translate complex financial data into clear strategic narratives, challenge assumptions, and operate as a genuine business partner to every team at Whop.
What You'll Do
- Own the financial model. Build and maintain a dynamic, company-wide model that supports scenario planning, fundraising, and long-range forecasting.
- Drive the operating cadence. Lead monthly and quarterly business reviews, track KPIs across revenue, margins, and unit economics, and surface insights that drive action.
- Support fundraising and investor relations. Prepare board materials, investor updates, and diligence packages; serve as a key point of contact for investors.
- Build the finance function. As an early member of the finance org, you'll help define processes, tooling, and team structure as we scale.
- Manage budgeting and headcount planning. Partner with department heads to set budgets, manage spend, and make tough prioritization calls.
- Analyze marketplace economics. Develop deep intuition for Whop's platform metrics — GMV, take rate, seller LTV, cohort retention — and translate them into business insights.
Who You Are
- 5–8 years of experience in investment banking, growth equity, venture capital, or strategic finance at a high-growth tech company
- Exceptionally strong financial modeling skills — you can build a 3-statement model, LBO, or cohort analysis from scratch

Job Description
Whop is seeking a Senior GL Accountant to take a key role in managing the company's core accounting operations function as we scale. This is a high-impact position responsible for the execution of month-end close, technical reconciliations, and the continuous improvement of our financial operations.
Reporting directly to the Assistant Controller, you will be a critical part of the team transforming Whop’s finance function into a disciplined, scalable operation. This is an ideal role for a high-potential accountant who possesses exceptional attention to detail and thrives in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment.
What You’ll Do
Core Accounting Operations
- Act as the primary point of contact for opex accounting, operations and close activities.
- Lead the month-end close process as well as prepare and review detailed work-papers.
- Work closely with procurement to ensure all contracts are processed, categorized, approved and recorded in accordance with our policies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement scalable processes that ensure proper opex accounting treatment in compliance with US GAAP standards.
- Focuses on data accuracy, entry, monitoring, and development and support delivery of reports for management review and business partner collaboration to elevate data analysis for better strategic decision making.
- Support and perform ad-hoc financial analyses to support operational needs, ensuring accuracy and clarity in data reporting.
What We’re Looking For
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- Experience: 5+ years in operational and related accounting roles with mix of industry and Big 4 audit experience preferable
- Industry Experience: Experience in a high growth fintech or marketplace environment preferred
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of US GAAP and lease accounting preferred
- Systems: Hands-on experience with modern accounting tools (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, Ramp)
- Skills: Detail-oriented, strong team player, and able to operate independently in a fast-paced environment
- Preferred: CPA and/or Big 4 experience
MILESTONE OUTCOMES
- First 90 Days: Take full ownership of the daily GL functions; help establish the first accounting infrastructure and month-end close cadence.

About the role
Whop is hiring our first dedicated security hire. You will work closely with our CTO to uplevel the team’s security posture.
This role is responsible for owning all security outcomes: infrastructure, compliance, external programs, and internal security. You'll drive execution and hold an extremely high bar for our security posture. We are looking for someone highly technical – an engineer first. The ideal candidate is a backend/infra engineer who evolved into security — you owned security at a startup because no one else would.
We're mid-SOC2 with a handful of vendors supporting our IT and Security. You'll inherit these relationships and make them yours, and work across every internal team to drive execution. You'll work closely with the CTO, head of legal, chief of staff, and head of ops.
This is a hands-on role. We are looking for a technical individual contributor to independently build these programs from scratch.
Scope:
- Own SOC2 and data privacy compliance (audits, GDPR, CCPA)
- Own infrastructure security (AWS, Vercel, Cloudflare, PlanetScale - secrets, access controls, monitoring)
- Own security incident response (detection, triage, remediation, post-mortems)
- Own external security programs (bug bounty, pen tests, threat monitoring)
- Own internal security (IT vendor, device security, office security, training)
- First line of escalation for all security issues

Within 30 days, you’ve mapped how access, data, money, and production systems actually work at Whop. Incident detection is materially improved through stronger logging and monitoring, with clear signals for suspicious access and misuse. You’ve established clean ownership and escalation for security incidents, tightened obvious risk boundaries, and taken ownership of all security-relevant systems and vendors without broadcasting internal gaps.

Within 60 days, security fundamentals are standardized and enforced through engineering systems, not policy alone. Identity, access, secrets, devices, production access, and financial systems operate on least-privilege defaults with strong auditability and fast revocation. Guardrails are embedded into workflows so engineers and operators naturally do the safe thing. SOC 2 is in final stages as a consequence of these systems being in place and actively used.

Within 90 days, Whop’s security posture is durable under real-world pressure. External security programs are live, incidents are detected early and handled predictably, and critical systems are resilient to abuse, compromise, and traffic spikes. Sensitive data is controlled and minimized by default. Employees can safely use modern tools, including AI, without creating hidden risk. SOC 2 is complete, policies are followed in practice, and security runs autonomously day-to-day with minimal CTO involvement.
