Qualifications:

Experience installing and servicing Access Control, CCTV, and Intrusion Alarm Systems in commercial environments

Experience with Fire Alarm Systems is a plus

Ability to read blueprints and site maps

Experience with voice and data cabling is a plus

Strong customer service and communication skills (verbal and written)

Proficiency with smartphones, computers, email, spreadsheets, and internal systems

Possession of basic low-voltage/telecom tools, PPE, and reliable transportation during training

Key Responsibilities May Include:

Installing, troubleshooting, and repairing Access Control, CCTV, and Intrusion Alarm Systems

Running low voltage and composite cables in commercial buildings, including conduit work and concrete drilling

Cutting in door strikes and maglocks as needed

Completing all wiring, connections, and equipment installations to meet customer satisfaction and contractual requirements

Collaborating with Installation Team Leads or Project Managers to manage schedules and equipment delivery

Conducting system tests and troubleshooting to ensure full functionality and compliance with local, state, and federal codes

Providing technical escalation support both on-site and remotely

Travel and Training

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (no DUI/DWI in the last 3 years)

Willingness to travel extensively (up to 75–100%) and work flexible shifts, including overnight travel

Must have reliable personal transportation for use during the initial training period; must be willing to attend a mandatory one-week, in-person technician orientation in Lowell, Arkansas upon hire; orientation is scheduled shortly after hire based on the next available session, and a company vehicle will be provided upon completion of orientation

Requirements:

This position will be required to be within 30 mins of a physical Wachter office.

Must have at least 7+ years in field installation experience

Must have 3+ years of continuous Estimating experience

Nicet Level II or Higher preferred

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).

Experience required in Physical Security or Alarm field installation environments.

Ability to function effectively as a member of a team.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

High level of attention to detail required.

Proficient with using smartphones and computers, including email, spreadsheets, and Microsoft Office programs.

Excel Skills are a plus.

The position is remote with some travel to Lowell, AR for meetings or a local office as required by customers.

Responsibilities:

Prepare estimates for commercial security/alarm projects.

Evaluation of bid documents.

Perform accurate takeoffs.

Prepare Bid Sheets and questions.

Write professional proposals.

Interact with project managers to gather relevant information in order to provide firm bids for prospective jobs.

Maintain current, accurate information on prices from suppliers and contractors through direct contact and written materials, sales brochures, price lists, etc.

Maintain the company’s high standard of quality and professionalism with regard to workmanship, customer relations, coworkers, behavior, and appearance.

Responsibilities:

Run low voltage cabling in commercial buildings, including drilling concrete walls and limited conduit bending work.

Complete all wiring, connections/terminations, and equipment installations ensuring that Access Control and Intrusion systems are complete with total customer satisfaction and contractual requirements.

Install, repair, or upgrade fire alarm systems and program control panels for fire alarm systems with the guidance of building plans and electrical layouts.

Mount sensors at appropriate locations, performing all necessary tasks, such as drilling holes for cabling and accessing locations such as crawlspaces or attics.

Complete all wiring, connections, and equipment installations ensuring that fire alarm systems are in compliance with electrical and fire codes.

Tests to ensure all newly installed fire alarm systems and component devices are operational.

Adhere to all required project safety requirements as set forth by Wachter, our customers, or OSHA.

Perform any other duties not specifically statedherein, but which your supervisor may assign.

Ensure all work complies with current codes and regulations.

Assist and collaborate with the Installation Team Lead or Project Manager regarding on-site work schedules and timely delivery of equipment.

Conduct tests to ensure all newly installed systems and component devices are operational. 

Troubleshoot new system installations to ensure the proper functioning and to ensure the system meets local, county, state, or federal codes and legal and/or insurance requirements.
