What you’ll do:

• Schedule highly qualified meetings for your field sales team members using a defined sales methodology and utilizing sales strategies within your territory.
• Build an outbound prospecting strategy to actively develop your territory in partnership with field sales.
• Manage Marketing lead generation and follow up activity on inbound leads for your territory
• Leverage world class tools such as Salesforce, Groove, , LinkedIn Navigator, Claude AI, Notion,to drive the biggest impact across your territory.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing and partners,to build a strong and qualified pipeline for your territory.
• Through trainings and enablement, build a strong understanding of cold-calling prospection, become a Tanium expert, learn about the competitive landscape and current trends in the marketplace
• Work with your leadership team to build strong communications skills and learn how to deliver effective reporting back to the business.
• Meet or exceed minimum weekly activity metrics: calls, emails, conversations and meetings.
• Work closely with your team and business partners in a highly collaborative environment.
• Travel Requirements: [5% of time expected to travel]

The Right Candidate:

• Holds Bachelor’s degree in Business or related area, or equivalent experience
• Holds 1+ years of Enterprise SaaS or Security experience (preferred)
• Demonstrates passion about being part of a team focused on helping customers solve some of the most pressing needs in Security and IT, while helping drive innovation and collaborations across the business
• Will build strong relationships across the business and becomes a trusted resource for the team.
• Will work closely with a high energy, dynamic sales team in the ongoing optimization of strategic sales approaches.

The Director, Strategic Partner Accounts will be instrumental in working with the largest and most strategic national and global partners to gain mindshare, increase technical, sales and services capabilities to achieve our sales targets. This person will deliver strategic business plans and be responsible for ensuring partners are skilled to both sell and deliver services in support of their Tanium business.

What you’ll do:

• Be the single point of contact and fully accountable to grow the most strategic partners within a large regional or global level. 
• Be fully responsible for driving and delivering new customer and ARR growth across all business and go-to-market motions of strategic partner.
• Develop and execute advanced business plans that include detailed sales, marketing, technical and services strategies.
• Develop executive level relationships between both companies to increase their investment and focus in their Tanium business.
• Work with partner to help them develop Tanium based services to support their sales efforts and their customers
• Educate Tanium sales teams on partners unique value propositions and coach them on how to work with this partner to increase their productivity
• Educate/enable partner technical resources to identify, discuss and promote Tanium internally as well as in customer conversations
• Have a deep understanding of Tanium technology and value and be able to effectively deliver to both customers and partners
• Possess an in-depth knowledge of each strategic partner business and what drives their success. Demonstrate value by aligning a relevant value proposition from Tanium with the partner's strategy and objective
• Have a maniacal focus on successful customer outcomes through partners

We’re looking for someone with:

Experience:

• Minimum 7 years of experience in a national/global partner sales role in the IT Operations and/or IT Security industry required
• Experience working with large enterprise focused integrators, MSPs or GSI with deep technical and services knowledge preferred
• Experience creating a geographic partner business across national or global partnerships required
• Experience as a quota carrying seller or business development position with a successful track record strongly preferred

Other:

• Deep understanding of how to create and execute services strategies with large partner organizations.
• Existing C-level relationships with large SI and GSI partners around the world
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to operate independently while managing internal and external stakeholder relationships
• Ability to enthusiastically evangelize the Tanium message to strategic partners and their customers
• Desire to own all parts of a partner lifecycle, starting with profiling/recruitment
• Proven success with sales ability and demonstrated knowledge of sales process

The Basics

As a Director of Strategic Accounts (DSA) on the Tanium field sales team, you will be responsible for generating opportunities to position the Tanium platform within an assigned territory and/or accounts. You’ll be equally as comfortable with the CIO, CISO or VP Ops as you would hosting a room of Red Team members; from talking business benefits to bits and bytes. The successful DSA drives a superior customer experience by delivering technology solutions tailored to customer needs and is able to exceed their assigned quota. 

What you’ll do

• Articulate the value of the Tanium platform to decision makers and expertly manage the complex sales cycle 
• Nurture and develop relationships within the assigned territory and/or accounts, presenting to the C-suite the value of the Tanium platform 
• Work with the Partner and Marketing teams to define and support prospecting and sales efforts within assigned territory and/or accounts 
• Generate appropriate sales development activity to ensure healthy pipeline management 
• Accurately forecast, maintaining excellent SFDC hygiene 
• Conduct online webinars or in-person presentations to generate qualified leads 
• Travel as needed 

We’re looking for someone with

• Significant enterprise software sales experience, generating and closing large & complex software transactions with the biggest customers in the region 
• A strong team mentality - selling is a team sport at Tanium, where managing and using virtual resources to tackle large and complex sales cycles is a must have skill 
• Proven track record of exceeding quota 
• Experience calling on and presenting to C-Suite level contacts 
• Background building and cultivating relationships with partner ecosystems to bring a partner-centric go-to-market approach to our customers 
• The ability to evangelize and build new business opportunities within an assigned territory and/or accounts.

At Tanium our Solution Engineering team works closely with Sales and Customer Success (CS) teams to engage current and potential customers. We drive and lead the technology evaluation stage of the sales cycle, demo the platform, and deliver comprehensive Proof of Value (POV).

You will be engaged in interactive pre-sales discovery meetings, analysis of customers’ current technology and architecture, operational and business needs; and the development and presentation of appropriate Tanium solutions. You will lead deep-dive technical discussions with the customer to position Tanium’s transformative enterprise operations and security platform to the relevant stakeholders, from VP level to the technology user. 

What You'll Do:

• Work directly with our world-class sales team from initial discovery to deal close to shorten sales cycles and improve closing rates 
• Oversee and participate in initial discovery meetings with customers, providing platform demos and highly technical Proof of Value engagements for both existing customers and new sales opportunities 
• Be the direct conduit translating customer business challenges into technical solutions, positioning Tanium to effectively solve those challenges 
• Function as a technical expert throughout sales engagements, ensuring that tactical motions in the pre-sales and POV processes line up with strategic account goals 
• Partner with field engineering teams to ensure maximum technical effectiveness and consistent customer 
• experience throughout the POV process 
• Consistently and cogently address our customers’ needs through astute verbal, written, and presentation skills 
• Build, manage and maintain strong relationships with customers, peers and partners 
• Actively participate and speak at regional marketing events and conferences 
• Customer facing Sales and Channel enablement, including training 
• Operate as a keystone in the sales model, working with the Sales, Marketing, Product, and CS organizations to continuously improve effectiveness and efficiency throughout the customer life-cycle 
• Travel expected to be 30-50% to engage with customers and prospects in person 

We're Looking For:

• 4+ years of operational and/or selling experience in endpoint operations or security 
• 2+ years of experience in customer-facing or customer support positions 
• Significant software pre-sales or related value-based technical selling expertise in very large enterprise environments 
• Experience presenting at multiple levels, from VP level to Solution Users 
• A demonstrated track record of taking ownership of complex initiatives and producing successful outcomes 
• Broad knowledge of the IT security, operations, and compliance space and products 
• Deep knowledge with hands-on experience in one or more of the following: 
• Endpoint Security 
• IT Operations Management 
• Regulatory Compliance 
• Broad knowledge of scripting languages is a plus 
• Demonstrated critical thinking skills 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
• Naturally team-oriented with a mission-first attitude 
• BS degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or equivalent experience required
