Financial Analyst, Global OpEX

Summary of the Position

Are you a detail-oriented financial professional with strong analytical skills and a passion for operating expense management? We are seeking a Financial Analyst, FP&A – Global OpEx to support global operating expense forecasting, budgeting, and actuals analysis within the Global Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. This role will initially focus on R&D OpEx, with scope that may evolve over time across other functional areas.

This critical role partners closely with cost center owners, functional leaders, and Accounting across regions to deliver accurate forecasts, variance analysis, and decision-support insights that drive disciplined OpEx management. Key Responsibilities

Budgeting & Forecasting

- Support the global OpEx annual budget, quarterly forecast, and monthly outlook cycles, ensuring alignment with business objectives and financial targets.

- Partner with cost center owners and functional leaders to consolidate, challenge, and roll up OpEx forecasts across regions and departments.

Reporting, Forecasting & Analysis

- Analyze actuals vs. budget and forecast variances at the GL, cost center, and department level, identifying drivers and providing clear commentary for finance leadership.

- Deliver monthly close packages, dashboards, and standardized financial reports with actionable insights to support business decisions.

Financial Modeling & Scenario Planning

- Develop and maintain models to assess the financial impact of departmental initiatives, run-rate changes, vendor contracts, and expense optimization opportunities.

- Build scenario analyses for OpEx reductions, reallocations, and discretionary spend trade-offs to support quarterly EBITDA targets and strategic planning.

Process Optimization & Automation

- Drive improvements in OpEx forecasting and reporting by streamlining recurring deliverables and leveraging tools such as Adaptive Insights, Oracle, Snowflake, Excel, and Power BI.

Expense Governance & Controls

- Support purchase order, contract, and accrual review processes, ensuring accurate expense recognition, GL hygiene, and compliance with internal controls and approval thresholds.

Qualifications & Experience

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required.

- Experience: 2–5 years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, Corporate Finance, or OpEx/Budget Management. Experience in global or consumer goods/retail organizations is a plus.

- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and data visualization tools such as Power BI. Experience with planning systems (e.g., Adaptive Insights), ERP platforms (e.g., Oracle), and data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake) preferred. Demonstrated fluency with enterprise AI assistants (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, Gemini) to accelerate analysis, modeling, and reporting workflows.

- Analytical & Communication Skills: Strong ability to interpret complex expense data, identify trends and variance drivers, and effectively communicate findings to business leaders.

- Controls & Process Discipline: Demonstrated experience supporting close cycles, accruals, and expense governance with attention to accuracy, audit-readiness, and adherence to internal controls.

- Stand-Out Qualification: Experience managing OpEx at a granular level (cost center, GL account, and vendor) across a large, multi-region organization is highly preferred and will distinguish strong candidates.

This role: The Early Edge Rotational Program: Finance & Accounting Track is part of SharkNinja’s Early Edge Experience, a structured, high-impact early career program designed to develop the next generation of SharkNinja talent. Over the course of an 18-month program, participants will complete three 6-month rotations across key Finance functions: Commercial Finance, Costing, and Inventory. 

Each participant will begin in a designated starting rotation and rotate through all three functions, gaining broad exposure to SharkNinja’s financial operations and building a strong foundation in FP&A and Accounting. 

This role works closely with Finance leadership and cross-functional partners across Product Development, Supply Chain, Marketing, Operations, and Commercial teams to support financial analysis, reporting, and business decision-making in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. 

This program is designed to build a strong pipeline of future SharkNinja Finance talent, with the goal of converting high-performing participants into full-time roles aligned to business needs in January 2028, immediately following program completion. While conversion is not guaranteed, it is a key objective of the program and is based on individual performance and business needs.

• Participate in three rotational assignments across core Finance functions (Inventory, Commercial Finance, Costing), gaining broad exposure to SharkNinja’s Financial business

Summary of Position

The position of Sr. Financial Analyst, FP&A, Category Profitability - SharkNinja within FP&A will be responsible for working with Finance leadership and cross-functional departments in the business. The primary responsibilities will include supporting the SharkNinja Category teams, working closely with our Product Development, Marketing, Commercialization, SS&A, and Engineering teams. This position will act as a financial business partner, providing P&L insights and reporting at the Category level, in-depth margin analysis, and leading cost optimization efforts for a subset of Shark & Ninja categories. Essential Functions

Category P&L Management

• Prepare and maintain Category P&Ls across assigned Shark & Ninja categories.
• Review P&Ls for accuracy and work with input owners to resolve discrepancies.
• Drive process efficiencies to reduce P&L cycle time and improve data quality.
• Support NPD governance and margin expansion insights and reporting.

Reporting & Analytics

Manager, FP&A – EMEA

About the Role 

Reporting into the FP&A Senior Manager, EMEA, the FP&A Manager, EMEA is a high-impact role at the heart of SharkNinja's EMEA finance function. You will be a key driver of financial performance and insight across the region - owning core FP&A deliverables, driving the EMEA Data/BI FP&A transformation agenda, and acting as the primary link to the Global BI/IT Teams. 

This role is for someone who combines deep technical FP&A expertise with a passion for data, tools, and continuous improvement. You won't just report the numbers — you'll own the infrastructure behind them, drive simplification, and help build a best-in-class FP&A function that scales with one of the fastest-growing consumer businesses in the world. 

FP&A Core Deliverables 

• Lead and animate the EMEA month-end close cycle, delivering high-quality variance analysis, management commentary, and P&L performance reporting to the EMEA Finance Leadership Team (FLT), with support from the Senior Analyst. 

• Establish and maintain clear forums with the Accounting team to review the balance sheet and support quarterly and year-end closing. 

• Support ad hoc financial analysis and business case support for EMEA-wide initiatives 

• Champion simplification across FP&A processes (month end & forecast), leveraging AI tools, analytics, and structured ways of working to reduce manual effort and increase impact. 

• Drive the animation of financial performance across the EMEA business, using BI tools and automation to bring data to life.

OVERVIEW: 

The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for Logistics with a Latin America focus as the company continues to expand globally. This senior analyst will play a critical role in shaping the financial framework for the Latin America region, developing and automating processes, financial modeling, creating Power BI dashboards, as well as evaluating business cases to shape long term Logistics strategy in Latin America.
