We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our cloud infrastructure, systems, and services. This role is designed for an experienced cloud professional who can independently collaborate across departments and ensure that cloud technology initiatives align with business objectives and best practices.

Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of scalable, secure, and highly available cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP).

Architect, deploy, and manage production-grade Kubernetes clusters supporting mission-critical, containerized applications.

Define and enforce cloud standards, patterns, and best practices across the organization.

Maintain, monitor, and optimize cloud environments, including compute, storage, networking, and security services.

Troubleshoot complex cloud-related issues and provide timely resolutions to ensure high system availability and performance.

Infrastructure as Code & Automation:

Design and maintain robust Infrastructure as Code (IaC) frameworks using tools such as Terraform, ensuring repeatability and compliance.

Establishand evolve CI/CD pipelines to support secure, reliable, and scalable application delivery.

Drive automation-first approaches to infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and operational workflows.

Implement and manage containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms, with a strong emphasis on Kubernetes.

Champion DevOps and GitOps practices across teams to improve deployment velocity and system reliability.

Cloud Operations, Security & Governance:

Provide technical leadership for cloud operations, including monitoring, logging, alerting, backup, and disaster recovery strategies.

Design and enforce cloud security best practices, including identity and access management (IAM), network segmentation, encryption, and compliance controls.

Own cloud cost management strategies, including cost optimization, budgeting, forecasting, and resource governance.

Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support:

Serve as a subject matter expert for cloud technologies, providing guidance and support across Engineering, Product, Operations, and Security teams.

Collaboratewith other departments such as Development, Product, and Security to translate business requirements into scalable and resilient cloud solutions.

Lead documentation efforts for cloud architectures, operational runbooks, and best practices.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

6+ years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or cloud infrastructure roles, with demonstrated senior-level responsibility.

Deep hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS or GCP), including production-scale environments.

Expert-level experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform) and infrastructure automation.

Extensive experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes ecosystems, including designing, deploying, managing, and troubleshooting clusters at scale.

Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Bash).Strong understanding of cloud security principles, including IAM, network security, encryption and compliance.

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What You Bring

4+ years of technical recruiting experience, ideally in scaling tech teams internationally

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our Data Technology team in Warsaw. WHAT YOU WILL DO

WHO YOU ARE

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience

As a Data Scientist on Samba's Knowledge Graph & Identity team in Warsaw, you will own end-to-end delivery of significant data science projects with minimal guidance. You are a reliable, autonomous contributor with deep expertise in at least one of Samba's core domains - knowledge graphs, identity spine, measurement, or audience modeling - and the technical range to build production-ready solutions using modern ML and AI methodologies. What You'll Do:

Contribute to data science projects across the full lifecycle — from problem scoping and exploratory analysis through to model development and deployment — with support from senior team members

Apply core ML techniques — regression, classification, clustering, and model evaluation ,to complex, high-volume datasets, and begin exploring advanced methods such as entity resolution, embedding-based matching, and semantic similarity

Who You Are:

You are a reliable, autonomous contributor with deep expertise in at least one of Samba's core domains - knowledge graphs, identity spine, measurement, or audience modeling - and the technical range to build production-ready solutions using modern ML and AI methodologies. You'll work closely with peers, product, and engineering, and play an active role in mentoring junior data scientists on the team.

What You'll Do:

Own end-to-end delivery of significant data science projects — from problem scoping and approach design through to production deployment, with a focus on knowledge graph and identity solutions

Make sound, independently-reasoned decisions on methodology, model selection, and evaluation; document them clearly in technical solution documents covering problem statement, approach, metrics, and timeline

Lead solution design for your own initiatives; break down complex epics into well-scoped user stories with clear acceptance criteria, adopting DataOps and MLOps best practices throughout — experiment tracking, pipeline orchestration, model monitoring, and reproducibility

Build production-quality Python and PySpark code on Databricks — well-tested, documented, and reusable — and implement advanced ML and AI-powered workflows including entity resolution, probabilistic record linkage, embedding-based matching, semantic similarity, and LLM-augmented pipelines

Develop and maintain reusable tools, libraries, and documentation that improve team efficiency and technical standards; conduct code reviews with constructive, specific feedback that raises the bar

Mentor junior data scientists on technical execution, code quality, and career development; lead internal talks or workshops on knowledge graphs, identity, or ML topics

Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and operations — translate business requirements into technical specifications, partner with data engineering on scalable pipeline design, and participate in cross-functional design reviews and working groups

Who You Are:

Bachelor's degree required in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics or a related quantitative field; Master's strongly preferred

3–5 years of hands-on data science experience with demonstrated ability to own and deliver complex, multi-sprint projects independently

Advanced Python with production-quality code, testing, and documentation; strong SQL and PySpark for billion-row datasets

Databricks workflows, Delta Lake, and job orchestration; working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS or GCP)

Solid command of core ML — regression, classification, clustering, model evaluation, and experimental design — applied to complex, high-volume data

Proficiency with MLOps practices: experiment tracking, pipeline orchestration (Airflow), and reproducible model deployment

Exposure to modern AI methodologies: RAG systems, LLM-augmented models, vector databases, and semantic search

Strong communicator — able to translate technical work into clear documentation, user stories, and cross-functional conversations

Demonstrated ability to mentor junior data scientists and contribute to team standards
