We are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to join our technology team, with a focus on backend systems, cloud-native platforms, and data infrastructure. This role is ideal for an engineer who comes from a data platform, backend, or analytics engineering background and has developed deep expertise operating those systems in AWS at scale. It is especially well suited for engineers who have built or operated data platforms and are looking for deeper ownership of the cloud and backend systems that power them. 

You will work at the boundary between data platforms, application engineering, and cloud infrastructure, helping Plus Power build reliable, scalable systems that support asset operations, analytics, and power market participation. This is a hands-on role with meaningful technical ownership: you will write production code, shape system architecture, and ensure the systems you build are observable, resilient, and operable in real-world conditions. You will focus on bringing transparency, efficiency, and consistency to our cloud systems, ensuring secure and flexible deployment patterns, and advocating for best practices, all while contributing directly to business-critical solutions. 

In this role, your impact goes beyond ticket-based support or reactive operations. You will lead and own solutions end-to-end, from design and implementation through deployment, monitoring, and ongoing evolution. You will be working across disciplines to continuously improve the platforms and systems our teams rely on. 

Key Responsibilities 

Platform & Backend Engineering 

• Design, build, and operate backend services, internal platforms, and shared infrastructure that enable data pipelines, analytics, and application workloads. 
• Apply a strong focus on CI pipeline design, operational reliability, and cloud cost awareness as first‑class engineering concerns. 
• Write high-quality, maintainable, and testable production code, primarily in Python. 
• Partner with application and data engineers to define service boundaries, APIs, data contracts, and operational requirements. 
• Contribute to architectural decisions with an emphasis on long-term maintainability, reliability, and clarity. 

Cloud-Native Systems Ownership 

• Architect and operate AWS-based, cloud-native systems with an emphasis on reliability, security, performance, and cost efficiency. 
• Own the full lifecycle of platform and service components, including design, implementation, deployment, observability, and incident response. 
• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform to manage cloud assets and operational workflows. 

Data Platform Enablement 

• Enable and support data platforms, analytics systems, and ML-adjacent workloads through reliable backend and platform services. 
• Design systems that integrate with relational databases, object storage, and event-driven data flows. 
• Work closely with data engineers and analysts to ensure systems meet requirements for data correctness, availability, and performance. 
• Set and evolve best practices for cloud-based data management through platform design, automation, and standards. 

Operational Excellence & Reliability 

• Build and evolve CI/CD pipelines that test, validate, and deploy both application and infrastructure code. 
• Establish and maintain observability standards using metrics, logs, and alerts. 
• Participate in on-call rotations and lead root cause analysis and long-term system improvements following incidents. 

Skills & Qualifications 

• 5+ years of professional experience across platform engineering, backend engineering, data engineering, CloudOps, or SRE roles. 
• Strong backend development experience, including building and operating production services or internal platforms. 
• Prior experience on data platform, analytics, or ML infrastructure teams preferred. 
• Significant hands-on experience with AWS, including services such as VPC, IAM, EKS/ECS, RDS, S3, and related managed services. 
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures, messaging systems, or streaming data patterns preferred. 
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform and/or CloudFormation). 
• Experience operating containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes in production environments. 
• Solid understanding of CI/CD, Git-based workflows, and automated testing.

We are looking for a Central Texas Field Manager to join the Asset Operations Team. This qualified individual would work under the guidance of the Director of Field Operations and will manage from one to three sites and will be the responsible party for all on-ground activities relating to the operations and maintenance of the site. In this role, they will gain a full understanding of the operations of their site(s) and will be able to explain the operations status at any time. They will have intimate knowledge of issues on their sites and prioritize issues in the order of safety, site performance, and nice to have. The Field Manager will be a proactive member of the Plus Power team solving problems and involving management early and often to solve issues before they become site limiting problems. When owning more than one site, the Field Manager will coordinate with the Director of Field Operations for a forward-looking schedule of site work.

Key Responsibilities 

• Ensure compliance with up-to-date safety and electrical policies for the safety and wellbeing of staff and visitors. 
• Perform quality and safety inspections/audits on maintenance activities of field technicians. 
• Deliver updates regarding site maintenance activities, including planned and unplanned maintenance. 
• Identify and report critical issues in a timely manner to maximize uptime, allow for successful energy market operations, and ensure stakeholder contract compliance. 
• Support field O&M providers to assist with maintenance or complex repairs.  
• Oversee effective scheduling and coordination of maintenance and repair activities. 
• Support quick response to site communication and plant/equipment control failures with the trading team, remote operations, EMS supplier, and asset managers.  
• Provide technical support to onsite technicians, and other vendors. 
• Ensure the creation of service work orders for corrective repairs, as needed, and the follow through of work to completion.  
• Ensure daily records are kept current to maintain regulatory compliance. 
• Ensure preventative maintenance activities are properly scheduled per the contractual obligations and seasonal restrictions. 
• Identify any additional services needed and ensure steps are taken to advance facility needs. 
• Identify and determine root cause(s) of underperforming systems with support from performance engineering and O&M field team.  
• Manage overtime work of field team, generally remaining within contracted services.  
• Coordinate all activities between the site management and O&M providers. 
• Ensure complete and timely filing of Warranty Claims as needed and manage warranty work to completion. 
• Travel up to 60% for in-field work, onsite supervision or to support other Field Managers as needed during planned or forced outages.  
• Coordinate monthly outage plan with internal and external stakeholders 
• Responsible for ensuring site safety to include pre-job JHAs and other relevant forms.

• Coordinate with Asset Managers to ensure that all contractual commitments to/with key stakeholders and O&M contractors are upheld.

Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum of two years’ direct experience in BESS and/or Solar site operations preferred.

About the Role 

We are looking for a Deputy General Counsel, specializing in Commercial Real Estate, to join the Legal team. This qualified individual would work under the guidance of the General Counsel to lead the legal counsel and guidance to the Real Estate Team (which sits within the Development Department) and to Plus Power more broadly, with the support of one report (Counsel, Real Estate) and a paralegal dedicated to the Real Estate Team.  In this role, this individual will be responsible for supporting legal drafting for site acquisition efforts, supporting real estate de-risking activities, and representing real estate legal in Plus Power’s project financings and tax equity investments.  This role will also have opportunities to support and collaborate with teams across Plus Power’s functional groups, including the broader Development team, as well as the Permitting, Interconnection, EPC, Finance and O&M teams.

• Represent Plus Power’s Real Estate Team to address the evolving real estate priorities within Plus Power’s project portfolio, all with the support of the Counsel, Real Estate

Depending on the organization’s footprint and market participation, this role may also support compliance programs such as ERCOT Protocols, ERCOT Operating Guides, PUCT requirements, and other ISO/RTO or state regulatory frameworks. 

This role will assist with compliance monitoring, evidence collection and retention, internal assessments, audit preparation, self-certifications, regulatory reporting, and ongoing program maintenance for generation facilities. The ideal candidate will support compliance efforts related to Generator Owner and Generator Operator obligations, with awareness of evolving regulatory expectations applicable to inverter-based resources.

• Support NERC and other applicable regulatory compliance programs for generation assets, including IBR facilities

We are looking for a Principal Data Architect to help us turn a fast‑growing, multi‑source data environment into a coherent, trusted, and easy‑to‑use analytical ecosystem. You’ll set the strategic north star for how we define, organize, and use data across the company, then drive pragmatic, incremental steps to get us there. This is a highly collaborative role: you’ll bring together analysts, engineers, and business stakeholders to establish working standards that are clear, realistic, and adopted in practice. This role sits at the intersection of data architecture, analytics platforms, and data engineering, with a strong emphasis on data modeling, shared definitions, and scalable analytical systems.

A major focus will be evangelizing and operationalizing our data catalog and shared definitions: partnering with stakeholders to name and normalize data assets, build an expressive model of our institutional knowledge, and create a “common language” that scales across many teams and analyst skill levels. You’ll work closely with our Data and Cloud Engineering team on ELT patterns, schema evolution, and durable conventions. You will balance long‑term consistency with rapid learning and iterative delivery. This isn’t an “ivory tower” architecture role, you’ll stay close to the work, prototyping and writing code where it accelerates progress, and building lightweight processes and tooling that make the right way the easy way. Success looks like continuous delivery of visible value: better discoverability, fewer conflicting metrics, and steadily increasing trust while we converge, step by step, on a clear long‑term architecture.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and evolve data architecture standards for analytics and reporting, including data modeling, naming conventions, schema design, and documentation practices across the organization
• Own the data catalog and metadata strategy, partnering with stakeholders to define, name, and organize data assets across multiple domains and source systems
• Collaborate closely with Principal Data Engineering leadership and application engineering teams to align on ELT patterns, Snowflake usage, schema evolution, and analytical data modeling practices
• Contribute hands‑on through SQL and Python, developing reference data models, prototypes, templates, and example implementations that demonstrate architectural intent
• Support and enable data analysts by establishing consistent data usage, modeling standards, and shared definitions across a wide range of technical skill levels
• Partner with application engineers on schema design to support rapid application development and reliable integration between operational and analytical data systems
• Support PostgreSQL (including AWS Aurora) and Snowflake data modeling and analytical access patterns in collaboration with platform and database stakeholders
• Establish and promote data governance practices covering data quality, ownership, lifecycle management, and schema change management
• Drive incremental delivery of data architecture improvements, aligning short‑term progress with a clear long‑term architectural vision
• Design high-ingestion pipelines (using tools like InfluxDB, Timescale, or Snowflake) capable of handling millions of data points per second from globally distributed battery sites
• Ensure data can be seamlessly ingested from various industrial protocols such as Modbus, CAN bus, or DNP3, and translated into standardized cloud formats
• Ensure data architectures comply with grid-specific regulations (like NERC CIP) and mandate on-site data storage for grid resilience
• Help set the vision, roadmap and communicate the enterprise data strategy for the company

Skills & Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or analytics platform development, with demonstrated ownership of cross‑team data standards and models
• Strong expertise in analytical data modeling, including dimensional modeling, semantic layers, and schema design for multi‑consumer analytics use cases
• Deep working knowledge of SQL and experience collaborating on or authoring complex analytical queries and models
• Proven experience designing or contributing to analytics platforms built on Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouses using ELT‑based architectures
• Experience defining and operationalizing data catalogs, metadata, and shared definitions, including naming conventions, ownership models, and documentation practices
• Experience designing or supporting data governance frameworks, including data quality, ownership, lifecycle management, and schema change management
• Experience supporting application teams on schema design to enable rapid application development and reliable data integration
• Familiarity with analytics engineering practices and tools (e.g., dbt or similar modeling frameworks)
• Proficiency with Python for data analysis, modeling, validation, or prototyping (not limited to production pipeline code)
• Experience partnering closely with data engineers on ELT patterns, schema evolution, and data quality practices
• Experience working with PostgreSQL or compatible systems (including managed services such as AWS Aurora) and understanding how operational schemas interact with analytical models
• Knowledge of AWS data services and cloud‑native data patterns strongly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with data analysts across a wide range of technical skill levels, including analysts with limited engineering backgrounds
• Strong communication skills and a track record of cross‑functional collaboration with engineering, analytics, and business stakeholders
• Experience working in environments with large, diverse analyst populations and high data consumption across teams preferred
• Proven ability to deliver incremental architectural improvements while maintaining a clear long‑term vision for data consistency and scalability
• Background in energy, finance, trading, or other data‑intensive, operationally complex domains preferred

We are looking for a Project Development Intern to support our Senior Project Manager in the TVA territory and the Southeast region (Georgia Power territory). This intern will gain hands-on experience in battery energy storage system (BESS) project development, supporting the full project lifecycle from opportunity identification through active construction. The scope of work will be dynamic and responsive to what is happening in the project pipeline at the time of the internship, offering a flexible and real-world learning environment.

Responsibilities:

Project Organization & Meeting Support

• Assist the Senior Project Manager with note-taking during tranche calls, stakeholder meetings, and other project-related discussions; distribute organized meeting summaries to relevant parties
• Help maintain and update the AMP (Asset Management Platform) to ensure accurate, current project data across all active developments
• Participate in regional weekly meetings with all team members working on development projects and opportunities

Construction Tax Reporting

• Track and log work required for continuous construction tax reporting; maintain organized records and flag upcoming deadlines or action items to the Senior Project Manager
• Support coordination with other company departments (Finance, Legal, Operations) to gather accurate data and ensure compliance with construction tax documentation requirements

New Market Opportunity Research

• Develop and contribute to a thesis on new BESS development opportunities in the TVA and Southeast regions
• Research utility procurement trends, regulatory developments, and competitive landscape across the Southeast to identify actionable opportunities for Plus Power's regional pipeline
• Provide research-backed solutions and recommendations that increase value to the project portfolio and support pipeline growth
  Development Operations Support
• Develop a working understanding of renewable energy project development strategy and commitments, including financial goals, scheduling, logistics, phasing, milestones, and opportunities
• Create and update Excel spreadsheets and Microsoft Access databases used to track project status, milestones, and KPIs
• Support departmental integration and file organization in MS 365 SharePoint and OneDrive
• Review and create presentation materials and process documentation for Development Operations
• Support the advancement of performance objectives and assist the Development Department in tracking and summarizing OKR data

Collaboration & Communication

• Work with the Senior Project Manager to develop a clear understanding of expectations and objectives, ensuring that information is clearly communicated to all parties
• Build and maintain positive relationships with all parties involved in core business functions; collaborate effectively with Development teams to meet all organizational objectives
• Connect with other company departments to gather accurate KPI data and link various cost and schedule datasets to the broader project information database

Skills & Qualifications

• Current undergraduate student with applicable work experience in Data Analysis, Business Operations/Administration, Energy, Environmental Science, or a related field **OR** current postgraduate student in an MBA, Energy Policy, or other business/technical program

We are looking for a Senior Project Engineer to join the Preconstruction Team within the Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) department. This qualified individual would work under the guidance of a Preconstruction Manager to help evaluate the technical feasibility of project opportunities, advancing projects through the development process, and into execution. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess energy storage technologies and site layout options with respect to long-term project performance requirements to deliver maximum potential project value while minimizing execution and operating risks
• Analyze, assess, and present project technical risks and determination of de-risking solutions
• Develop project capital and operational cost estimates and milestone schedules to be used in project financial valuation models
• Provide technical and project management support throughout the development cycle, including site visits, interfacing with third-party consultants, and supporting meetings with local project authorities
• Support offtake, equipment procurement, as well as engineering and construction contracting activities to move projects towards NTP

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline required
• Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in technical roles or fields
• Experience in Power, Energy, Renewables, or BESS with familiarity of industry-specific terminology required
• Knowledge of value proposition and technical fundamentals of energy storage development
• Broad knowledge required with preference for additional depth in one or more focus areas
• Demonstrated success with technical-commercial contract negotiations to support offtake, equipment supply, engineering, and construction agreements
• Experience reviewing engineering drawings and specifications
• Experience with AutoCAD
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a cross-functional environment with both technical and non-technical team members who are geographically dispersed
• Proactive mindset to identify risks or obstacles ahead of time and drive solutions
• Strong decision-making skills with the ability to analyze complex information and make sound, timely choices aligned with organizational goals
• Persuasive, clear, and concise writing and presentation skills
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in the Microsoft suite of tools and applications including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
• Ability and willingness to travel domestically approximately 25% of the time.
