Team leader for the APAC mid-market sales team driving net new customer acquisition for Payoneer and contributing to the growth of the organization.
We’re looking for a highly talented Mid-market sales Team leader for the mid-market sales organization based in our Seoul office.
The ideal candidate is an energetic, motivated, results-oriented people leader who can operate and excel in a fast-paced environment.
You will contribute towards new customer acquisitions for Payoneer and contribute to the growth of the organization. You will drive your mid-market sales team towards success, while playing an active role in shaping the mid-market strategy for the region. This includes developing various customer segments and leading the way for flawless execution of the sales motion in the assigned territory.

What you’ll do
- You will be responsible for the mid-market sales team’s delivery of new revenue and customer acquisition for the assigned territory
- You will drive the team towards key revenue opportunities, deal closures, and performance tracking. You will provide optimum support to the team on sales coaching and skill development.
- You will provide the team with regular guidance and mentorship on business acumen, customer centricity, and sales methodologies, thus setting them up for success in their role.
- You will manage under-performance and maintain open & direct communication on expected actions and outcomes upwards and downwards.
- Individual delivery of business development or account management goals in addition to team goals. You may be assigned individual KPIs for your assigned territory.
- Partner with internal teams across the globe and create win-win situations
- Develop insights required to drive breakthrough success
- Create performance reports and presentations to the leadership team.

Who you are - Enter experience and skills needed
- 5+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas: revenue quota carrying direct sales experience, customer success experience, business development in the Payments, SaaS, Financial, Technology, eCommerce, or other relevant verticals.
- At least 2 years of people management experience in a customer-facing environment
- Experience with SMB segment of customers a plus
- Demonstrated success in delivering against multiple projects, working virtually with cross functional teams.
- Fluent in English, with strong communication and presentation skills
- Experience with CRM, BI, technology tools, Microsoft Office.
- Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills, with creativity to look at problems from new angles
- High degree of independence – executing independently from start to finish with ownership
Not a must but a great advantage:
- In addition to fluency in English, knowledge of at least one Asian language is a plus
- Experience in SMB business development a plus
- Experience in multi-national working environment (collaborating with remote teams) an advantage
- Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM tools. Experience with data analytics & BI tools

What you’ll do:
- Manage Payoneer’s Enterprise client relationships at the senior level through understanding clients’ business, payment needs & flows, growth opportunities.
- Develop client retention and growth strategies for your managed client portfolio with various digital commerce verticals (e.g. Social streaming, eCommerce, freelancing, content distribution, and others).
- Develop and drive the overall long-term strategy for accounts, aligned to client business objectives, while prioritizing cross and up sell opportunities.
- Negotiate commercial & contractual terms, and work collaboratively with key internal stakeholders to execute on revenue goals and growth objectives.
- Conduct regular business reviews with clients to establish growth goals, and track performance against jointly agreed objectives.
- Take ownership of client health by demonstrating accountability, adaptability, and problem-solving skills, ensuring that clients receive optimal support and service.
- Leverage market, competitive, and proprietary data to inform decision-making, providing a comprehensive view of the client’s status and future opportunities.
- Actively participate in internal review forums, presenting account plans for approval and soliciting support from management and other key business stakeholders.
- Identify potential new product and service opportunities, providing strategic input to product and R&D teams to enhance offerings with a long-term focus.
- Effectively communicate Payoneer’s value proposition during account review processes, prioritizing initiatives that align with client and company goals.
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree or above, overseas education background preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in a client facing role in high growth technology firms, ecommerce/payments firm, fintech space or in a financial institution
- Ability to work with global cross teams, including sales/bd, finance, marketing, risk, customer care, legal, product, professional services, and compliance
- Expert communicator who is motivated to own all aspects of the client relationship and be the client’s advocate within Payoneer
- Excellent phone manner and presentation skills and able to productively facilitate meetings with up to 20 participants
- Able to travel to clients on frequent basis
- Creative problem solver with the ability to think out of the box but also to know how to plan, prioritize, and execute on strategies to meet client needs and revenue goals
- Excellent written and verbal skill in both Korea, English and Japanese/ Mandarin

Role summary:
- The Senior Customer Care Team Leader is a critical onsite leadership role responsible for owning end‑to‑end performance, capability building, and operational stability of the Korea Customer Care (CC) team. This role goes beyond day‑to‑day people management and acts as the local authority for customer experience, quality standards, operational execution, and cross‑functional alignment.
- You will lead senior and junior Customer Care Representatives, ensure consistent delivery against SLAs, CSAT, QA, and productivity KPIs, and serve as the primary bridge between the Korea CC team and regional/global stakeholders. Mandatory Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in Customer Care / Operations, with at least 5+ years in a people‑leadership role.

- Own end‑to‑end people management for the Korea CC team, including hiring support, onboarding, coaching, performance management, and retention.
- Lead performance and development through structured 1:1s, feedback, and data‑driven reviews; build succession and bench strength.
- Foster high engagement, accountability, and psychological safety while managing underperformance decisively.
- Operational Ownership & KPI Management
- Own delivery of core KPIs (SLA, CSAT, QA, productivity, backlog health, adherence) and drive corrective actions through regular performance reviews.
- Ensure consistent execution of global CC policies, SOPs, and quality standards, localized for the Korea market.
- Act as the first escalation point for complex customer issues and operational risks.
- Quality, Compliance & Customer Experience Excellence
- Drive QA discipline, root‑cause analysis, and targeted coaching to improve customer experience and quality outcomes.
- Ensure strict compliance with regulatory, data‑handling, and KYC requirements.
- Translate customer insights into continuous improvement initiatives.
- Stakeholder & Cross‑Functional Leadership
- Represent Korea Customer Care with regional and global stakeholders; provide structured feedback on issues, gaps, and customer impact.
- Partner with Training and Knowledge teams to ensure readiness for launches, changes, and updates.

- Lead local execution of regional and global initiatives, translating strategy into clear execution plans.
