What You'll Do

• Conduct Customer Due Diligence (CDD) for both individual and corporate clients, including Simplified and Enhanced Due Diligence, screening and reviewing for adverse media, sanctions, and Politically Exposed Persons (PEP) profiles.
• Review and update customer records in accordance with FCA guidelines, UK/EU AML directives, and internal risk policies.
• Collect, verify, and assess KYC/KYB documentation, including ID, address proof, and ownership structures.
• Perform sanctions, PEP, and adverse media screening, escalating any hits or anomalies per escalation protocols.
• Complete Client Risk Assessments and produce clear, well-reasoned outputs.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to resolve gaps or discrepancies in onboarding cases.
• Ensure accurate documentation of all due diligence activities, maintaining audit readiness and GDPR compliance.
• Identify and suggest improvements to the CDD onboarding process, including automation opportunities.

Who You Are

The ideal CDD Introduced Onboarding Analyst will be comfortable operating in a high-volume, regulated environment and bring a genuine interest in financial crime and FinTech.

What you'll need

• Minimum 2 years of experience in CDD, KYC, AML, or financial crime roles within a regulated financial institution or fintech.
• Solid understanding of UK/EU AML regulations, including JMLSG guidance and FCA expectations.
• Familiarity with various client types and structures, including corporates, trusts, partnerships, and beneficial ownership.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with a proven ability to manage high volumes of work accurately and to deadline.
• Experience using screening and data tools such as Orbis, Moody's, or equivalent platforms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Excel, CRM/KYC platforms, and document management systems.
• Ability to work independently with accountability, while collaborating effectively within a team to achieve shared goals.

• Experience across multiple jurisdictions or client types (e.g., trusts, partnerships).

• Own and manage CDD & Compliance Assessments for complex clients within the First Line CDD Operations Function.
• Perform Client Risk Assessments and Customer Due Diligence (Simplified and Enhanced) during corporate onboarding.

Who You Are

What you’ll need:

• A curious mindset and drive to explore how AI can make a real difference.
• A (high-level) understanding of legislation/guidance including the Money Laundering Regulations 2017 (as amended), the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002, the Sanctions and Anti-Money Laundering Act 2018, the Terrorism Act 2000 and Counter-Terrorism Act 2008, the UK General Data Protection Regulation and Data Protection Act 2018, and HM Treasury Sanctions Notices and OFSI Guidance. You’ll also be confident applying guidance from the FCA Financial Crime Guide and SYSC Rules, JMLSG (especially Chapter 5 on Customer Due Diligence), and FCA guidance on Politically Exposed Persons.
• Experience in corporate onboarding and compliance across sectors and jurisdictions, ideally with Know Your Business (KYB) and enhanced due diligence in both UK and EU contexts.
• Analytical and detail-oriented, with strong communication skills, ethical judgement, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Resilient, flexible, and confident in owning and evolving compliance processes to support business growth.

What You’ll Do

• Screen names, entities, and transactions against sanctions, PEP, internal watchlist and adverse media lists.
• Investigate alerts, validate matches, articulate rationale for decisions made, make risk-based decisions and escalate confirmed risks to Compliance/AML teams where required.
• Maintain accurate documentation and audit trails for all reviews and decisions.

What You’ll Do 

• Support the delivery of onboarding projects by owning and managing technical setup, resolving troubleshooting issues, and maintaining high levels of process accuracy 

• Provide working‑level technical support to customers and internal teams during onboarding and early go‑live, and act as second‑line support during BAU for integration and cards enquiries, escalating complex issues appropriately 

• Configure Modulr’s full suite of products, services, and integrations across all client types, ensuring accurate setup and consistent delivery standards 

• Work with third‑party partners (e.g. Visa, Thredd) to support successful integrations, troubleshooting, and go‑live readiness 

• Coordinate and validate customer access across sandbox and production environments, including credentials, permissions, and readiness checks 

• Use tools such as Postman to diagnose and resolve straightforward API and implementation issues 

• Manage and progress implementation/support tickets through Freshdesk, ensuring timely responses, accurate updates, and adherence to agreed SLAs 

• Manage multiple onboarding cases concurrently, ensuring SLA adherence and timely progression to go‑live 

• Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date records in Salesforce, including milestones, risks, dependencies, and executive summaries 

• Identify and manage internal dependencies across Product, Compliance, Finance, and partner teams, escalating blockers when required

• Own the end-to-end operationalisation for the Account Management and Partnerships Teams
