About This Role
This role is responsible for executing Intersect's AI roadmap, ensuring that we are effectively leveraging artificial intelligence to drive efficiency, innovation, and competitive advantage. The AI Solutions Architect will serve as the central point of contact for AI initiatives, partnering across the business to embed emerging technologies and best practices into day-to-day operations. We are seeking a hands-on leader with a strong blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and communication skills who can translate the potential of AI into measurable business outcomes.
Team Overview
The AI Solutions Architect will report to the Head of Corporate Technology and serve as the primary advisor for AI-related initiatives across the company. This role requires close collaboration with leaders across all departments, as well as partnership with the IT and Data Product teams within Corporate Technology.
What You’ll Do
Lead AI tool discovery and vendor evaluation efforts across the evolving AI ecosystem, including LLMs, productivity tools, automation platforms, and industry-specific applications. Conduct due diligence, manage vendor relationships, and recommend solutions that align with business goals, security standards, and technical infrastructure.
Partner cross-functionally with departments to identify opportunities for AI integration within workflows and business processes. Gather business requirements, recommend scalable solutions, develop implementation plans, and collaborate with technical teams to align supporting data infrastructure and systems.
Establish and maintain governance frameworks, including responsible AI policies, prompting standards, data privacy guidelines, and best practices to ensure secure, compliant, and effective AI adoption across the organization.
Act as an internal AI advocate by promoting awareness, sharing successful use cases, developing enablement materials, and helping teams build confidence and excitement around AI technologies.
Drive organizational change management efforts by identifying adoption challenges, gathering employee feedback, and partnering with Talent Development and Employee Engagement teams to deliver targeted training programs and support resources.
What You’ll Bring
5–7 years of experience in technology program management, product management, technology strategy, solutions architecture, or a related role.
Bachelor’s degree in a business, technical, or related discipline preferred. Equivalent practical experience operating in technical environments is highly valued.
Strong understanding of the modern AI and data landscape, including familiarity with large language models (LLMs), AI agents, APIs, automation tools, analytics platforms, and software development lifecycle concepts.
Demonstrated ability to bridge technical and business teams by translating business needs into technical requirements and communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives and driving alignment across diverse stakeholders without direct authority.
Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, and organizational skills with a collaborative and solutions-oriented mindset.

Lead Operational Accounting Excellence

Own Technical Accounting and Compliance

Prepare clear, well-documented accounting memos and conclusions for internal and external stakeholders
Monitor and update accounting policies to ensure compliance with evolving standards and internal control requirements
Support the annual audit process and external reporting requirements
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
5–7+ years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in Big 4 public accounting (audit)
Strong knowledge of US GAAP and experience with SOX compliance
Experience managing accounting processes and delivering accurate, timely results
Ability to independently research complex accounting issues and clearly document conclusions
Experience working with G-Suite and strong Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, SUMIF, VLOOKUP)
Familiarity with accounting systems such as Sage Intacct is helpful
Experience in the energy industry is helpful
CPA or Master’s degree in Accounting is helpful
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment

As part of Intersect’s Development Engineering team, you’ll lead transportation strategy across a portfolio of large-scale, multi-technology energy projects—ensuring that site access, routing, and infrastructure planning are seamlessly integrated from early development through construction. This role plays a critical part in shaping how complex infrastructure is delivered, bridging engineering, development, and construction teams to translate technical transportation analyses into actionable, buildable solutions.

What You’ll Do
Lead Transportation Strategy
Own transportation planning and traffic study coordination from early-stage development through construction start across multiple projects
Define routing, site access, and infrastructure strategies that align with project schedules, constructability, and cost considerations
Ensure transportation scope is fully integrated into project development, EPC contracting, and execution plans
Manage Studies and Technical Analysis
Oversee external consultants conducting transportation engineering studies, road surveys, and traffic impact analyses
Review and validate technical outputs, including traffic flow modeling, routing feasibility, and infrastructure constraints
Translate study findings into clear, actionable recommendations for design and execution teams
Drive Infrastructure and Logistics Planning
Develop strategies for roadway and intersection upgrades, congestion mitigation, and public infrastructure improvements
Support construction logistics and traffic management planning to ensure safe and efficient project delivery
Identify site access challenges and real estate requirements tied to transportation routes
Coordinate Cross-Functional Alignment
Partner with Development, Engineering, Construction, Permitting, and Community Engagement teams to align on transportation strategy
Collaborate with EPC contractors, OEMs, and construction teams to ensure plans are practical and executable
Conduct site visits to validate assumptions and align transportation planning with field conditions
Engage External Stakeholders and Agencies
Interface with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) and other agencies to align on study requirements and outcomes
Support permitting processes by responding to transportation-related comments and providing technical documentation
Contribute to road use agreements and external approvals tied to transportation scope
Ensure Quality, Budget, and Schedule Alignment
Perform QA/QC on third-party deliverables to ensure accuracy and alignment with project requirements
Support budgeting, forecasting, and scheduling for transportation-related scope, including infrastructure improvements and mitigation measures
Apply a commercial mindset to balance technical rigor with cost and timeline considerations
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field
7+ years of civil engineering experience, including at least 2+ years focused on transportation engineering and traffic studies
Experience managing transportation or traffic impact studies and coordinating with external consultants and public agencies
Familiarity with traffic analysis methodologies, roadway design considerations, and construction logistics planning
Experience supporting large-scale infrastructure, energy, or industrial projects will help you ramp quickly
Strong project management skills, including ownership of scope, schedule, and budget across multiple concurrent efforts
Ability to interpret complex technical analyses and translate them into practical, real-world decisions with a commercial lens
Experience working cross-functionally with diverse stakeholders, balancing technical and non-technical perspectives
Clear and effective communication skills across technical teams, contractors, and external agencies

What You’ll Do
Deliver Accurate Financial Settlements
Produce daily shadow and realized profit and loss statements across Intersect’s generating assets
Reconcile transactions across multiple data sources to ensure accuracy and completeness
Maintain deep expertise in settlement data and calculations, particularly within ERCOT and other ISOs
Drive Market & Performance Insights

What You’ll Bring

What You’ll Do
Interconnection Strategy and Execution
Lead end-to-end generator and large load interconnection processes from early development through COD, with accountability for schedule, risk, and outcomes.
Develop and execute short-, mid-, and long-term interconnection strategies aligned with the company’s development and investment roadmap.
Identify and evaluate interconnection options, constraints, and mitigation strategies to support project siting and portfolio optimization.
Utility, ISO, and Stakeholder Engagement
Serve as the primary point of contact with utilities, ERCOT, and relevant stakeholders on all interconnection-related matters.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with transmission owners, system operators, and regulatory bodies to advance project objectives.
Actively participate in transmission planning meetings, stakeholder forums, task forces, and working groups, providing timely insights to internal teams.
Technical Oversight and Studies
Review and interpret interconnection study results, including feasibility, system impact, and facilities studies.
Independently replicate study findings, identify errors, assess sensitivities, and develop alternative mitigation solutions where appropriate.
Collaborate with internal engineering teams and external consultants on IBR modeling, transmission planning, and study execution.
Cross-Functional Leadership
Support Origination, Development, Engineering, Construction, and Project Finance teams with interconnection expertise throughout the project lifecycle.
Translate complex technical and regulatory issues into clear, actionable guidance for internal and external stakeholders.
Develop and maintain internal tools, processes, and reporting to track interconnection status, risks, and decision points across the portfolio.
Market and Regulatory Insight
Monitor interconnection reforms, regulatory developments, and emerging technologies impacting interconnection policy and execution.

What You’ll Bring
10+ years of experience with an IPP, project developer, ISO/RTO, utility, or power systems consulting firm.
Demonstrated experience with interconnection studies, transmission planning, and IBR modeling, particularly in ERCOT.
Strong working knowledge of FERC, NERC, and ISO/RTO interconnection requirements, standards, and processes.
Hands-on experience with at least one, and preferably several, of the following tools: PSLF, PowerWorld, PSSE, PSCAD, TARA, and ASPEN.
Direct experience with transmission and distribution interconnection tariffs, procedures, and studies in key markets, specifically ERCOT.
Experience supporting large load interconnections and non-traditional interconnection use cases.
Proven ability to lead complex technical processes while managing multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence technical and non-technical audiences.

About This Role
As part of Intersect’s Engineering team, you will direct the design, coordination, and technical oversight of high-voltage (HV) and medium-voltage (MV) systems across different technology and resources such as solar, wind, battery storage, datacenter, and natural gas projects. 15+ years total experience, with significant time spent in a technical leadership or management capacity.

Experience delivering utility-scale projects through energization.

Deep technical expertise in lithium-ion battery systems, including chemistries, system architecture, optimization levers, cost drivers, lifecycle considerations, and construction challenges
Strong understanding of utility-scale power conversion systems, transformers, skidded inverters, and battery technologies; PV engineering experience is a plus
Working knowledge of applicable codes and standards (NEC, IBC, IFC, NFPA, UL, IEC, UL9540A, UL1741, etc.) across permitting, design, construction, and operations
Experience supporting Independent Engineer diligence and interfacing with project finance stakeholders

Lead engineering consultants and general contractors through constraint mapping, civil and structural design, value engineering, and design reviews
Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, industry standards, and project specifications, maintaining clear, review-ready documentation
Coordinate across disciplines
Work closely with Wind, PV, BESS, Data Center, and High-Voltage engineering teams to resolve interfaces and deliver integrated designs
Support permitting & approvals
Assist in obtaining development and construction permits, ensuring compliance with local regulations and expediting approvals
Enable procurement & contracting
Support value engineering and prepare civil/structural scope and contract exhibits, ensuring cost-effective solutions aligned with project specifications
What You’ll Bring
A bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering or equivalent experience that prepares you to guide complex site designs
7+ years of technical civil/structural design experience, including 2+ years leading multidisciplinary design processes for utility-scale power projects
Strong command of design development, construction methods, relevant codes and standards, and safety fundamentals for large-scale site work
Ability to balance design, production, cost, schedule, and land-use considerations; and to clearly explain tradeoffs to diverse audiences
Proven project management skills with the judgment to prioritize across multiple, simultaneous projects
Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and Civil 3D; familiarity with project tools such as Procore and MS Project (or similar)
Collaborative communicator who builds trust with internal teams, EPCs, consultants, AHJs, and landowners
A growth mindset, curiosity to learn, willingness to mentor peers and drive to improve playbooks and standards

About This Role
As part of Intersect’s Engineering team, you’ll lead the design, coordination, and technical oversight of high-voltage (HV) and medium-voltage (MV) systems across solar, wind, and battery storage projects. You’ll drive utility interconnection, optimize substation and transmission designs, and support projects from early development through financing, construction, and commissioning. Beyond project delivery, you’ll also provide ongoing technical support to Operations, ensuring assets perform reliably throughout their lifecycle. This is a highly cross-functional role, requiring close collaboration with Development, Permitting, Construction, Finance, Operations, and external EPCs, utilities, and consultants.

We develop standards, review designs, and coordinate across functions to bring complex clean energy facilities online at scale. By bridging technical expertise with project execution, we help Intersect accelerate deployment while meeting the highest safety, quality, and performance standards. Joining this team means shaping the backbone of our power infrastructure and driving the interconnection of next-generation energy projects.
What You’ll Do
Lead HV & MV Design
Develop and review preliminary HV transmission and substation designs, as well as MV distribution designs and single-line diagrams
Collaborate with EPCs, engineers of record, and external consultants to optimize facility design and execution
Maintain and improve internal design tools for engineering analysis and calculation
Drive Utility Interconnection
Participate in recurring meetings with utilities to advance interconnection discussions from development through commissioning
Support preparation and review of interconnection applications and dynamic models to ensure accuracy and compliance
Serve as a technical lead for Independent Engineer (IE) diligence and project financing reviews
Build Standards & Technical Excellence
Develop and maintain technical specifications, design criteria, standards, and EPC technical exhibits
Review vendor specifications, testing protocols, and commercial agreements to ensure alignment with project requirements and cost optimization
Support EPC RFPs to ensure technical requirements are clearly defined and competitive
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work with Development, Land, Permitting, Construction, and Operations teams to ensure seamless project delivery
Resolve regulatory, permitting, and technical challenges with a focus on cost, schedule, and quality
Champion high standards of safety, environmental stewardship, and constructability across all engineering activities
What You’ll Bring
8-10 years total, including >=4 years in clean energy project development (interconnection, owner’s engineering/IE oversight, EPC management, commercial negotiations) and >=4 years leading HV substation/collector design (345-500 kV) at a developer, IE/OE, or EPC, delivered ≥3 utility-scale projects through energization; led cross-functional teams and external consultants/contractors.
Strong understanding of HV transmission, substation equipment, MV distribution, metering, relaying, and SCADA/plant controllers
Technical expertise in power system design, optimization, and studies
Experience managing interconnection study processes in ERCOT and CAISO, with the ability to review and challenge study results
Advanced knowledge of steady-state modeling tools such as ETAP, SKP, or DigSILENT
Hands-on experience collaborating with EPCs and utilities during design and construction phases
Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to drive multiple projects in parallel
Solid Excel skills and familiarity with system design trade-offs, cost drivers, and construction challenges
Experience creating specifications and designs for HV transmission and substation equipment, or managing contracting/construction of HV facilities
Successfully advanced 5+ projects through CAISO, ERCOT, or SPP interconnection processes, ideally across multiple markets and through implementation (pre-EPC through COD)
Proven ability to lead preparation and review of interconnection applications and dynamic models for utility-scale projects
