Platform Ownership & Implementation

• Build, deploy, and operate an organization-wide HashiCorp Vault or OpenBao platform from scratch, ensuring high availability, scalability, and strong security posture.

• Define architecture for clustering, storage backends, auto-unseal, disaster recovery, and performance replication.

• Develop migration strategies and reference frameworks that allow other teams to move from their current secrets tools to the central platform.

• Standardization & Governance

• Collaborate with groups from engineering, security, and operations to merge various secrets stores into one unified system.

• Develop organizational standards, policies, access models, and workflows to ensure consistent, secure usage of the platform.

• Advocate for guidelines in secret lifecycle management, authentication methods, and identity federation.

Integrations, Enablement, and Developer Experience

• Build tooling, automation, onboarding guides, and libraries to help teams adopt Vault/OpenBao easily and accurately.

• Integrate Vault/OpenBao with CI/CD systems, cloud platforms, and internal services.

• Deliver workshops, training, and direct technical support to accelerate adoption.

Research & Advanced Security Capabilities

• Evaluate approaches for secure password storage for individual users—either within Vault/OpenBao or by assessing alternatives such as BitLocker or other credential-management systems.
• Conduct an initial study on the feasibility of implementing SPIFFE/SPIRE for workload identity, attestation, and zero-trust authentication, outlining future pathways and recommendations.

Collaboration & Cross-Team Work

• Partner with HPC, Networking, Storage, Security, and Cloud Engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of secrets workflows into broader infrastructure systems.
• Find opportunities to improve security posture and operational efficiency through automation and standardized secrets management. 

Candidate Profile

Essential:

• 4+ years in DevOps, SRE, security engineering, or platform engineering roles.
• Direct experience deploying and operating HashiCorp Vault, OpenBao, or a similar enterprise secrets-management system.
• Strong understanding of authentication backends (OIDC, LDAP, cloud IAM), secret engines, PKI, encryption, and token/credential lifecycle.
• Solid Linux administration and shell scripting experience.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform preferred) and CI/CD automation.

Job Summary 

As the Hardware System Test Engineering Manager, you will lead the Hardware System Test Team responsible for developing manufacturing test solutions for High Performance Modules (HPM), Server Blades, and Multi-node racks as part of the production assembly process. You will drive the creation of robust test executive software that sequences tests and integrates test content from multiple internal and external sources. You will guide the development of manufacturing test content and test fixtures informed by a deep understanding of silicon, board, and system design. Working cross-functionally with hardware, firmware, and software teams, you will ensure the right tools and functionality exist to efficiently validate product quality at scale. 

The Team 

The Product Test and Diagnosis team is responsible for identifying and diagnosing hardware defects introduced during the manufacturing process. The team defines, develops, and executes an end-to-end test strategy spanning silicon, board-level assemblies, server blades, and rack-scale systems. Testing is performed across the full product lifecycle, including manufacturing, and deployed field environments. 

Product Test and Diagnosis is part of the Manufacturing Operations organisation, which also comprises Manufacturing Technology, Supply Chain, and Quality teams. The group operates as a global team, with engineers based in the UK (Bristol and Cambridge), Taiwan, India, and the United States. 

Responsibilities and Duties 

• Lead and grow a multidisciplinary team of hardware and software test engineers delivering manufacturing test solutions for complex compute systems. 

• Define the manufacturing test strategy and roadmap for High Performance Modules, Server Blades, and Multi-node racks. 

• Own delivery of test executive software used in both manufacturing and lab environments to orchestrate test sequencing, logging, results aggregation, and integration of test content from diverse sources. 

• Partner with internal software, firmware, and platform teams to ensure required hooks, diagnostics, telemetry, and APIs exist to enable effective manufacturing test. 

• Establish best practices for test coverage, traceability, release management, and configuration control of test software and content. 

• Implement metrics and dashboards for manufacturing test (yield, escapes, false fails, coverage, cycle time) and lead continuous improvement initiatives. 

• Drive root-cause analysis of manufacturing failures and field returns, coordinating corrective actions across design, validation, and manufacturing engineering. 

• Own the delivery of manufacturing test fixtures for High Performance Modules and Server Blades, including defining requirements, managing external subcontractors, and ensuring fixtures meet quality, cost, schedule, and production readiness needs. 

• Ensure test solutions are scalable, maintainable, and production-ready, including documentation, training, and support processes for factory deployment. 

• Support supplier/contract manufacturing engagements as needed, including test station readiness, deployment qualification, and ongoing production support.

• Experience developing manufacturing test solutions for high-performance servers, accelerators (GPU-class), or comparable large scale compute hardware. 

• Demonstrated people leadership experience managing a mixed hardware/software engineering team (hiring, coaching, performance management, and team development).

Own and Shape the Component Backlog:

• Create and maintain team roadmaps for the Program Increment (PI) and long term plan to help visualise the current backlog and communicate status and progress to all stakeholders.

• Maintain a clear, prioritised backlog of Epics and Stories for your component team.

We are developing the next generation of AI compute, a large-scale system-on-chip (SoC) designed to power future high-performance AI systems. Job Summary 

Reporting to the Head of Data & Analytics, the Lead Analytics Engineer is a senior individual contributor responsible for owning the analytics engineering layer within Graphcore’s data platform. This role focuses on building and evolving curated data models, trusted metrics and well-documented semantic structures that enable reliable self-service analytics across the business. The Team 

The Data & Analytics team enables better decision-making across Graphcore by building trusted data foundations, scalable platforms and high-quality data products. • Own the dbt transformation layer, building, maintaining and evolving data models that support reliable self-service analytics across Graphcore.

The Role:

We are developing the next generation of AI compute, a large-scale system-on-chip (SoC) designed to power future high-performance AI systems. As the SoC Validation Lead, you will be responsible for enabling pre-production software to run reliably on new silicon quickly and efficiently, before showing that the silicon meets the highest standards of quality, reliability and functionality, ready for production deployment.

The firmware team writes the software that ensures the full and complete bootup of Graphcore Hardware and Silicon. We design and maintain interfaces to allow our Drivers software to interact with Graphcore Silicon. The Software Platform team at Graphcore 

We build Graphcore products into large-scale AI solutions for our customers and the Cloud Platform Team is responsible for providing such systems to both internal users via private clouds and customers via our own public clouds.  Often the internal systems will be using and developing pre-release hardware and software, so it’s vital you are comfortable with unproven components. 

Responsibilities and Duties

• Develop and operate Kubernetes-managed end-user services on our private clouds and support internal users in their use. You will turn end-user and product requirements into deployed services. 
• Work with our Datacentre Operations Engineers to maintain and operate the fleet of AI systems at peak performance in our private clouds. 
• Configure and test new Graphcore AI hardware and systems using Continuous Deployment and Infrastructure-as-code in internal and external datacentres.

You will be working closely with the hardware and software development teams to develop and maintain test systems in support of preproduction test solutions.  You will report to the Hardware test team lead, the test team is embedded within the Hardware team.  We want people who work collaboratively and proactively within our teams. The Team

The Hardware test team are part of a larger Hardware team that consists of Signal Integrity (SI), Mechanical, layout, package and Hardware engineers. The Hardware team is responsible for delivering state of the art accelerators for machine learning and collaborates with the Silicon, Firmware and Production teams during product development.

Responsibilities and Duties 

A successful candidate will work within Hardware Engineering Team to define test methods, specify suitable test equipment and automate test systems. The team is currently responsible for testing, debugging and characterising high speed serial links, power supplies that can deliver high current and adapt to fast transients. We also debug and characteratize slower speed protocols like JTAG , I2C I3C and low level PCBA debug. 

Developing a deep understanding of Graphcore hardware and software products and how to operate them in a test environment is essential for this position.

You will be expected to understand relevant industry performance test standards, data analysis and presentation systems. Contributions are expected to span multiple areas and involve:

• Manual testing and debug of complex high speed SERDES which include PCIe Gen 6 and 112/224Gb PAM4 ethernet. This will require the use of high bandwidth oscilloscopes, BERTs and VNA’s, and the ability to understand complex IEEE standards.

• Define the long-term vision, roadmap and strategy for silicon functional verification across all Graphcore silicon programs.

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Component Engineer to join our Manufacturing Operations team in the UK. The team is responsible for developing and maintaining robust manufacturing processes at the wafer foundry, package assembly and PCBA subcontractors based in Taiwan.

• Support the selection, evaluation, and qualification of electronic and electro-mechanical components to meet agreed design and manufacturing requirements.
• Create and maintainapproved component lists and Bills of Material (BoM) revisions using the Arena BoM management, or other tools as required.

Reporting to the Firmware Manager and working as a member of the Firmware Team, the Senior Staff Firmware Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and delivery of complex firmware systems across Graphcore’s next-generation hardware platforms. 

This role requires significant technical breadth and deep embedded systems expertise. You will contribute to shaping the firmware architecture and design, guide engineering practices, and solve highly challenging problems while maintaining a strong hands-on focus. You will partner closely with hardware, drivers, silicon and platform teams to deliver robust, scalable, production-quality firmware. 

The Team

The Firmware Team develops the low-level software responsible for the complete boot, configuration, and monitoring of Graphcore silicon and hardware platforms. Our work includes:

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide technical leadership and act as a subject-matter expert for complex firmware features, subsystems, and architecture decisions
• Lead design and development of scalable, maintainable firmware solutions in C, contributing to long-term architecture and system strategy
• Own and deliver critical low-level functionality (e.g., boot flows, embedded real-time logic, platform security, silicon bring-up)
• Perform advanced system debugging using low-level tools (e.g., JTAG, oscilloscopes, logic analysers) and drive root-cause analysis for complex issues
• Collaborate cross-functionally with hardware, silicon, platform, and external partners to define requirements and resolve integration challenges
• Ensure high standards of quality, reliability, and security through code reviews, validation improvements, CI/CD, and automated testing

The Team:

The verification team sits within the Silicon design team and is responsible for ensuring that the RTL created by the logical design team and used by the physical design team matches the architecture specification for Graphcore silicon. The Silicon Verification Lead is responsible for verification activities within Graphcore, helping the team meet the company objectives for quality silicon delivery.

Job Summary 

We are seeking a Director of Silicon Logical Design to lead and scale our Logical Design group within the Silicon department. This role is accountable for the overall strategy, technical direction, execution quality and team development for Graphcores microarchitecture and RTL design efforts. 

The Director will be responsible for ensuring that our logical design methodologies, architectures and RTL implementations meet world class standards for performance, power, area, and schedule. This leader will partner closely with Architecture, Physical Design, Verification, DFT and Program Management teams to ensure successful, predictable silicon delivery aligned with Graphcores long term product roadmap. 

The Team 

The Logical Design team deliver the micro-architecture and RTL that realise our advanced chip architectures. As Director, you will guide this multi site team, strengthen cross functional collaboration, and drive the evolution of our design flows and capabilities. 

Responsibilities and Duties 

Leadership & Strategy 

• Define and execute the strategic roadmap for Logical Design, ensuring alignment with Graphcores silicon and product strategy. 

• Lead, grow and mentor a high performing RTL/micro architecture design organisation. 

• Establish and implement best in class design methodologies, documentation standards and quality metrics. 

• Drive continuous improvement across team structure, workflows, tooling, and design processes. 

Technical Ownership 

• Provide technical oversight of micro architecture specification and RTL development across all major blocks and subsystems. 

• Guide architectural feasibility studies, contribute to architectural trade offs and micro architecture definition. 

• Oversee the integration of third party IP, complex application specific blocks, and high performance custom designs. 

• Ensure robust design sign off through high quality linting, synthesis, CDC/RDC, timing closure and coverage metrics. 

Cross-Functional Collaboration 

• Partner closely with Physical Design, Verification, DFT, Architecture and Program Management teams to ensure cohesive planning and execution. 

• Foster strong communication across teams and global sites, ensuring alignment on priorities, risks and deliverables. 

• Support silicon bring-up and debug efforts by providing expert guidance and deep understanding of RTL behaviour and architecture. 

Execution & Delivery 

• Own delivery of high quality, on schedule RTL for multiple parallel silicon programs. 

• Establish scalable project planning and tracking practices, including resource planning and risk mitigation. 
• Champion design automation and infrastructure improvements to accelerate productivity and improve design quality. 

Essential Skills & Experience 

• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field; advanced degree preferred. 

• Extensive experience in digital logical design, micro-architecture and RTL development for large scale, high performance silicon projects. 

• Proven success leading and developing technical teams in a semiconductor environment. 

• Deep expertise in SystemVerilog or VHDL and familiarity with modern digital design flows. 

• Strong ability to diagnose and resolve complex design issues, including via scripting/programming (Python, Tcl, etc.). 

• Demonstrated excellence in cross functional leadership and communication across global teams. 

• Strong organisational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and drive execution in fast-paced environments.

Reporting to the Head of Data & Transformation, the Business Transformation Lead is a senior individual contributor responsible for shaping and delivering complex, cross-functional change across systems, data and business processes. This role leads high-impact transformation work from discovery through implementation, combining strategic thinking with hands-on execution to improve how Graphcore operates and scales. 

Operating across business and technology domains, you will translate ambiguity into clear direction, define target outcomes, assess solution options and work closely with delivery teams to implement change. You will also provide guidance and structure to business analysts contributing to initiatives, and partner closely with a project manager to help coordinate and deliver projects effectively. You will act as a trusted partner to stakeholders, bringing structure, technical insight and practical problem-solving to initiatives that span multiple functions.

The Data & Transformation team sits within Graphcore’s broader business operations and technology environment. We are responsible for driving enterprise-wide change across systems, data and processes, helping the business work more effectively, make better decisions and scale in a sustainable way. 

We partner closely with teams across Finance, People, IT and other operational functions to identify opportunities, design improved ways of working and deliver technology-enabled transformation. Our work spans business analysis, process design, data improvement, solution shaping and change delivery.
