Job Description: Zonal Manager Sales – Trumpf Machinery

Required Qualifications & Skills

 * Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree (B.E. / B.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial/Production Engineering, or a related field.

 * Experience: 2 to 5 years of proven technical sales experience in capital equipment, machine tools, or sheet metal machinery.

 * Domain Expertise: Strong familiarity with laser cutting technology, press brakes, CNC bending systems, and sheet metal fabrication processes. (Direct experience with TRUMPF or equivalent high-end machinery is highly preferred).

 * Communication & Negotiation: Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills with fluency in English and local regional languages.

 * Mobility: Willingness to undertake frequent travel across assigned industrial territories for customer meetings and machine site visits.

About the Role

Airprax Pneumatics LLP is seeking a driven, results-oriented Assistant Manager Sales to drive business growth for our high-end sheet metal machinery portfolio. In this role, you will be responsible for selling premium TRUMPF industrial equipment, including advanced laser cutting systems, Punching machines and bending machines. You will work closely with manufacturing clients, job shops, and OEM facilities across the region, providing consultative technical sales and tailored machinery solutions.

Key Responsibilities

* Team Leadership & Channel Management

Lead, mentor, and track the performance of Area Sales Managers, Sales Engineers, and application specialists in the zone

Collaborate with authorized dealers/channel partners to expand coverage and ensure high conversion rates. 

Conduct regular sales reviews, pipeline audits, and skill-development workshops for the field team

 * Direct Machinery Sales: Drive end-to-end sales for TRUMPF laser cutting systems, CNC bending machines, and Punching Machine within target manufacturing sectors.

 * Client Engagement & Prospecting: Identify, qualify, and convert new business leads while managing relationships with existing industrial clients.

 * Consultative Selling: Conduct technical presentations, machine demonstrations, and application discussions to demonstrate ROI and productivity gains to key decision-makers (Plant Managers, Purchase Heads, and Business Owners).

 * Proposal & Contract Management: Prepare detailed technical-commercial proposals, negotiate commercial terms, and close high-value machinery contracts.

 * Market Intelligence: Analyze regional sheet metal fabrication market trends, competitor activity, and customer expansion plans to identify new growth opportunities.

 * Pipeline Management: Maintain an active sales pipeline, manage accurate sales forecasting, and track progress using CRM tools.
