Job Requirements (Principal Responsibilities)
- Uses Work Instructions (WI) and Product Quality Control Plans (PQCP) to process tasks involving shipping, receiving, packing and warehousing of chemical materials.
- Depending on organization and location, may use the business management system to enter work orders and requisitions. Prepares and maintains other records.
- Prepares and packs orders for shipment; checks and prepares documentation; loads shipment into carriers. Receives and unpacks goods, and labels for identification purposes. Stores items in warehouse on floors or shelves as appropriate.
- Operates a forklift truck to transport goods and materials throughout the plant. May operate other equipment such as pallet handlers, hand trucks etc. May conduct general and support preventative maintenance on all process and support equipment
- Participates in scheduled safety meetings and completes safety training requirements.
- Collects final product samples for Quality Control testing.
- Operation of the Track Mobile (both manual and remote car moves). Understanding of the mechanical checklist, switching of tracks, and a working knowledge of all safety standards.
- Set-up and operation of the Denser. Ability to troubleshoot and verify tamp density through the lab. Understanding of nitrogen operations associated with the Denser.
- Servicing and programing of labeling machines. Performs change outs of each of the three machines and able to back-up data, perform technical adjustments, and set IP addresses.
- Adjust and perform basic service for the bagging machine. This includes FIBC weight calibration, valve adjustments, solenoid adjustments, and preventive maintenance.
- Perform palletizer/conveyor troubleshooting and minor repairs (adjustment of photo eyes).
- Able to assist the Shipping and Receiving Department, including becoming a certified spotter, making entries into JD Edwards, understanding of bills of lading, and loading and unloading of trucks.
- Works in a safe manner and support SH&E programs. Ensures co-workers, internal and external, use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Works different shift schedules and overtime hours.
- Supports efforts to implement and maintain the Responsible Care® Management System in line with the requirements of the RC14001® technical specification, as applicable to the site/region.
- Performs other related duties as assigned

- Ability to interpret operating instructions; written, verbal and listening communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with others in a team-based environment.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other warehousing equipment.
- Mechanical aptitude to operate and maintain process and support equipment.
- Ability to work with International Standards Organization (ISO) quality and process standards.
Education/Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent. Depending on location, may need to have certified apprenticeship.
- 4-6 years of related experience
