About the team

What you’ll do

As a Workday Analyst on the People Systems team, you’ll help administer and improve Stripe’s Workday environment. You’ll support the operational, cyclical, and change-management work that keeps our systems running reliably while building technical depth across key Workday domains.

You’ll work with People Systems teammates and cross-functional partners to turn well-defined requests into tested, documented system updates. You’ll own assigned workstreams with guidance and partner with senior teammates on complex changes, high-risk decisions, and system escalations. This role is well suited to someone who enjoys solving operational problems, working carefully with confidential data, and bringing clarity to Workday administration.

Responsibilities

• Configure and administer assigned Workday capabilities across defined functional areas, including Core Human Capital Management, Security, Time Tracking, Absence, and Reporting
• Complete recurring operational work, including system queue monitoring, Workday Inbox support, account monitoring, access updates, routine data requests, compliance activities, and employee lifecycle processes
• Support configuration and reporting requests through Enterprise Interface Builder loads, compensation range and grade profile updates, entity work, organizational changes, and related data maintenance
• Conduct functional impact analyses, support daily change-management triage, and escalate complex or high-risk changes through established review paths
• Test Workday releases, new features, configuration changes, and cyclical processes, then document results and implementation guidance
• Triage Workday requests, gather requirements, clarify intended outcomes, resolve assigned issues, and partner with People team stakeholders on practical solutions
• Maintain support documentation and knowledge content, identify recurring issues and system gaps, and contribute to improvements in processes and the employee experience while following applicable security, access, and audit requirements

Minimum requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on Workday configuration, administration, or human resources information system experience
• Experience configuring or supporting Workday Human Capital Management, Reporting, Security, Time Tracking, Absence, Payroll, or other employee lifecycle processes
• Experience supporting data loads, reporting requests, system changes, testing, or operational workflows in an enterprise human resources information system environment
• Experience working with confidential information and business-critical processes with close attention to detail
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document work, partner with stakeholders, and raise risks or blockers when needed

Preferred qualifications

• Experience working with cross-functional teams on system or process improvements
• Experience with Workday Enterprise Interface Builders, calculated fields, and advanced, matrix, or composite reports
• Experience supporting Workday releases, user acceptance testing, change management, or recurring People cycles
• Workday certification or relevant Workday training
• Experience in consulting or another role supporting internal or external clients
