Warehouse Forklift Driver / Storeperson - Alexandria

Full-time, permanent | Monday to Friday, 6am–2pm | Overtime available

We are looking for…

Hopefully, you! We’re looking for an experienced forklift driver to join our warehouse team in Alexandria. You’ll be part of a small, supportive team that gets everything from container to our clients safely and in great condition.

Our warehouse handles premium natural stone, architectural surfaces and outdoor furniture for some of Australia’s best homes and projects. Our products are beautiful and built to last. Some of it weighs a tonne (nearly literally), so an eye for detail and steady hands go a long way,

This is a hands-on, physical role. A mix of being on your feet and behind the wheel throughout shift, in a warehouse that can be hot, cold, dusty or noisy depending on the day.

We're after someone who's keen on a permanent role post Christmas. Most days you’ll finish at 2pm. Over our busy period there’s paid overtime available, including the occasional Saturday.

The warehouse is easy to get to, with free street parking, Waterloo Metro and Redfern Station close by.

What you’ll do

Pick and pack orders carefully so they leave complete and well protected
Load and unload trucks safely, working with freight forwarders and clients
Receive and store stock from containers, checking off paperwork and updating our system
Safe and efficient forklift driving and manual handling with heavy materials
Support stocktakes and maintaining a clean and organised warehouse environment

Requirements

We need you to bring…

A current LF forklift licence (essential)
At least 2 years’ warehouse or logistics experience
Bonus points if you’ve worked with fragile or heavy goods in the past
Experience with scanners or a warehouse management system
Reliability, punctuality and pride in your work
A safety-first attitude and a willingness to help your teammates
You must have full working rights in Australia to apply

Benefits

What we offer

2pm finish (just in time for daylight saving & silly season)
A permanent ongoing role with room to grow your career within warehousing and beyond
Enhanced parental leave and birthday leave
Regular social events and volunteering opportunities
Team lunches, breakfast supplies, snacks and drinks to keep you fueled
Supportive and fun team environment
Overtime during peak periods

What else?

We’d like you to stay with us for the long haul. There are clear pathways into senior warehouse roles, and we’ve seen people move into other parts of the business too. If you’re keen to grow, we’ll support you.

Eco Outdoor was founded in 2001 and is now a global brand with reach across Australia, New Zealand and the US. We’re a team of around 190 people who care about what we do and enjoy doing it together.

Sobre a Eco Outdoor

At Eco Outdoor we work with architects and designers in Australia and the USA to help people create an inspired life outside.

We focus on exterior Architectural Surface Design products

When we think about exterior architectural design we often think of gardening, pool design and landscaping. We’d probably broaden that definition to include outdoor lifestyle in general - how we eat, how we play, the lights we use, the structures we shelter underneath, the furniture we sit on, the paths we walk on and the landscaping we look at. It’s how a space feels to be in. It’s giving outdoor design the same emphasis and sense of importance that we’ve always given to the indoors.

We’re excited that you’re thinking about talking to us about a new role.

Considering a move is always a bit nerve-wracking as you wonder, Will I like it? How long will it take me to get my head around everything? What are the people like? Will there be morning tea on birthdays? For some, our little company will become home. For others, it will be a step along the way to something else. Most will enjoy it. We hope. Inevitably some will not. But one thing’s for sure; like anything in life, you’ll get out what you put in.

When most people think of outdoor design they think of gardening, pool design and landscaping. We’d probably broaden that definition to include outdoor lifestyle in general. That encompasses how we eat, how we play, the lights we use, the structures we shelter underneath, the furniture we sit on, the paths we walk on and the landscaping we look at. It’s how a space feels to be in. It’s giving the outdoor space the same emphasis and sense of importance that we’ve always given to the indoors. So now when we talk about ‘outdoor lifestyle’ products, you’ll know what we mean.

So we’ve told you a little bit about us and what we’re into. But mostly we want to tell you that we’re really excited that you’re considering joining our team and we look forward to having a chat & getting to know you better.
