What's the role?
The Sports Digital Team is searching for a dynamic Video and Social Media Producer to join our team. Answering to the Video and Social Lead, this position is a vital part of our video and social media presence, driving video views across all our platforms, digital distribution of content from our numerous digital products and driving high levels of engagement.
A hands-on role, you'll have a creative and technical background in video producing. You'll come up with video and graphic pitch ideas daily and execute and edit them for multiple platforms. You have a deep-running passion for sport, and can work quickly and independently.
About the role:
- Pitch, shoot, edit, and publish high-quality sports video packages and original video content across apps, websites, and social media platforms.
- Create engaging video and graphic assets tailored for social channels (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok) to promote podcasts and grow audience engagement.
- Produce basic, accurate graphics content to share on digital platforms and social media.
- Identify trending social video content and national sports news to adapt and share across on-site and off-site channels.
- Utilize YouTube CMS to support and execute strategy aimed at expanding podcast and video presence.
- Communicate with key stakeholders to align on video expectations and collaborate with the team to share best-practice news video storytelling skills.
- Provide guidance and training to journalists and producers on video best practices.
- Collect data to track, measure, and report on video content success against established KPIs.
Who are you?
- Relevant experience video producing and editing preferably a sports environment, or as a social media content creator
- Strong writing and storytelling skills with a solid knowledge editing video on Premiere Pro
- Knowledge of PhotoShop and After Effects (desirable)
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Have a solid understanding of video content and trends, and social platforms such as Youtube, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok
