micro1 is engaging VFX Artists and 3D Animators for a project focused on reviewing and annotating video sessions of robotic arms completing real-world tasks. This is an AI training and video annotation project rather than a traditional asset creation, animation, or rendering assignment.

Your understanding of motion, spatial relationships, object tracking, occlusion, and visual anomalies is highly valuable for interpreting robotic activity. You will use that expertise to identify what objects are doing, how they move and interact, and whether each task is completed correctly. Your work will help create precise, consistent training data for next-generation AI systems. No prior experience in AI, robotics, or data annotation is required.

Scope of Work

1. Review video footage of robotic arms performing tasks, following detailed annotation and grading guidelines provided by the customer.
2. Identify and label motion, object interactions, spatial changes, task outcomes, errors, and other relevant events within each video segment.
3. Apply your understanding of animation, transforms, trajectories, timing, occlusion, and physical behavior to interpret activity accurately.
4. Use dedicated annotation tools to tag video content precisely and consistently.
5. Flag visual anomalies, tracking challenges, or ambiguous moments and explain your observations in concise written notes.
6. Contribute to quality control by reviewing annotations and providing constructive feedback when requested.
7. Complete assigned batches accurately and within established deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Professional or academic background in visual effects, 3D animation, motion graphics, technical art, computer graphics, or a related field.
2. Strong understanding of motion, timing, spatial relationships, object tracking, occlusion, and visual continuity.
3. Familiarity with tools such as Blender, Maya, Houdini, Cinema 4D, Nuke, After Effects, or similar software.
4. Excellent attention to detail, particularly when identifying subtle motion changes, visual artifacts, or inconsistencies.
5. Strong written communication skills, with the ability to describe visual observations and edge cases clearly.
6. Experience with video annotation, visual QA, computer vision datasets, AI training projects, or robotics is helpful but not required.
