The Role
We are seeking a highly capable Venue Manager to lead operations at The Merrywell, a high energy, high volume venue with a capacity of up to 858 guests.
 

As the Venue Manager, you will be responsible for end-to-end operations, leading from the front to deliver exceptional guest experiences while ensuring smooth, efficient, and compliant venue performance. You’ll oversee a diverse and large team, fostering a culture of engagement, accountability, and excellence.

About You

We’re looking for a strong and inspiring leader who thrives in a fast paced environment and is passionate about developing teams and driving performance.

You will bring:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Venue Manager in a high volume hospitality environment
• Proven ability to lead, motivate and engage large teams (80–100 team members during peak periods)
• Strong experience managing QR-based operations and technology driven service models
• A proactive approach with the ability to plan ahead and prepare for upcoming events and peak trade
• A hands-on leadership style, leading by example and setting high standards for your team
• Demonstrated ability to work across a 24/7 operational roster
• Full working rights in Australia (no working restrictions)

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of daily venue operations, ensuring seamless service delivery
• Lead, coach and develop a large, diverse team to achieve operational excellence
• Maintain high standards of compliance, structure, and organisation across all areas of the venue
• Drive a culture of integrity, accountability, and guest focus
• Manage rostering, labour costs, and performance outcomes effectively
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of events and activations
• Continuously identify opportunities to enhance the guest experience and operational efficiency

To be successful, you’ll:

Hold or willing to obtain a current Approved Managers License & RSA
