About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Valuations Manager to join our Corient Finance team. This role will be responsible for purchase price accounting, valuations, and earn-out arrangements and other transaction-related accounting matters. In addition, the role will provide technical accounting and financial reporting support across the organization, assisting with complex accounting issues, transaction accounting, and other strategic finance initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong valuation knowledge, technical accounting expertise, and the ability to collaborate across Finance, M&A, operational teams and external auditors to support the Company's acquisition strategy and broader accounting function.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead purchase price accounting analyses for acquisitions in accordance with IFRS 3, including identification and valuation of acquired assets and liabilities.

• Coordinate with third-party valuation specialists and internal stakeholders to support acquisition accounting and valuation activities.

• Prepare and maintain acquisition accounting documentation, valuation models, and supporting schedules for financial reporting and audit purposes.

• Monitor, evaluate, and account for contingent consideration, earn-outs, seller notes, and other acquisition-related arrangements.

• Support quarterly and annual fair value assessments for acquisition-related liabilities and other valuation-sensitive accounts.

• Analyze and document technical accounting matters related to mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and other strategic transactions.

• Partner with M&A, Legal, FP&A, and operational teams throughout the transaction lifecycle, from due diligence through post-acquisition integration.

• Assist with preparing acquisition-related disclosures for quarterly and annual financial statements.

• Support external audit requests and coordinate with valuation specialists to ensure timely completion of financial reporting requirements.

• Develop and enhance processes, controls, and documentation related to acquisition accounting and valuation activities.

• Provide broader accounting support on complex transactions, technical accounting issues, and special projects as needed.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and IFRS, particularly ASC 805 and IFRS 3 (Business Combinations) and fair value accounting concepts.

• Experience preparing purchase price accounting analyses and accounting for acquired intangible assets, goodwill, and contingent consideration.

• Understanding of valuation methodologies, including discounted cash flow, market, and income approaches

• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel.

• Experience working with external valuation specialists, auditors, and cross-functional stakeholders.

• Ability to research and document technical accounting conclusions.

• Familiarity with financial reporting requirements and acquisition-related disclosures.

• Experience in M&A environments, acquisition integration, or transaction-related accounting activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).

• 5-8 years of progressive experience in accounting, valuation, transaction advisory, audit, or financial reporting.

• Experience with purchase price accounting, business combinations, valuation support, or M&A-related accounting required.

• Prior experience in wealth management, financial services, private equity-backed organizations, or acquisitive growth environments highly desirable.

Physical Requirements

  • This position requires the physical capabilities to work in an office environment, which may include prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.   • This position may require the ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
  • This position is required to work onsite 4 days per week.

U.S. Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

Exceptions to these requirements will be determined based on shortage of qualified candidates with a particular skill. Corient will require proof of work authorization.
