ROLE SUMMARY
This is an exciting opportunity to join the US Hematology and Endocrinology franchise, one of the most rapidly growing businesses across US Commercial Division. The franchise comprises three distinct therapeutic areas including Pfizer’s long-standing presence in rare bleeding disorders with Hemophilia and Sickle Cell Disease..
The US Hemophilia Factor and Sickle Cell Lead will serve a critical lead role for the US Hematology franchise, representing a unique opportunity to shape the evolving Hemophilia portfolio strategy, advance Pfizer’s commitment in Sickle Cell Disease and drive performance of the factor replacement assets, BeneFIX and Xyntha. This leader will be responsible for delivering a cohesive engagement approach demonstrating Pfizer’s commitment to Hemophilia, integrated across channels and stakeholders. They will provide oversight of the strategic and tactical commercial efforts for Factor portfolio, reinvigorating a mature portfolio through effective account targeting, opportunistic pull-through of incremental segment wins, and innovative channel contracting. The lead will also define strategic vision and engagement priorities in Sickle Cell Disease, including community educational programming and market development to demonstrate Pfizer’s continued commitment in the space in support of ongoing research efforts for osivelotor.
This position requires deep commercial expertise, strong strategic, analytical, executional excellence and decision-making skills. The successful candidate should be a self-starter with proven track record of exceptional leadership and cross-functional collaboration, demonstrating ability to prioritize, high agility and an innovative mindset.
This role will lead a marketing team of 3-4 direct reports and cross-functional teams to deliver on financial and operational targets, managing strategic and tactical oversight across the portfolio. Reporting to the VP, US Rare Hematology & Endocrinology Franchise Lead, the US Hemophilia Factor and Sickle Cell Lead will serve as a member of the US Hem Endo marketing leadership team.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
• Oversee BeneFIX and Xyntha marketing strategy and tactical prioritization across customer groups to maximize Factor performance
• Reinvigorate the Factor portfolio through effective account segmentation and targeting, opportunistic pull-through of incremental segment wins, and innovative channel contracting
• Drive Factor portfolio growth and profitability through strategic recommendations, resource allocation decisions, and cross-functional partnership to maximize commercial execution and business outcomes.
• Analyze performance trends, data, competitive insights and channel dynamics to develop key performance indicators and inform business updates to senior leadership
• Lead Hemophilia portfolio marketing with an integrated engagement strategy, including portfolio messaging, external KOL and community engagements, Disease Day planning and HemAlliance partnership; develop innovative patient and HTC-level initiatives to advance portfolio priorities
• Partner with the US Hemophilia medical, sales, market access and HYMPAVZI marketing teams to enable effective portfolio planning and execution across the entire Hemophilia franchise
• Shape disease area strategy and engagement priorities in Sickle Cell Disease, including community educational programming and market development to demonstrate Pfizer’s continued commitment in the space
• Partner with Global, Medical, Clinical, Regulatory, IIS and other key stakeholders on evolution of ongoing research efforts for osivelotor, own US market readiness and long-range forecast
• Coach, inspire, develop and support the team of marketers, cultivating an empowering team culture
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• 8+ years of pharmaceutical industry, commercial or healthcare consulting experience required
• Previous market development, or US marketing experience strongly preferred
• Rare disease or specialty experience preferred
• BA/BS degree required, MBA or other advanced degree highly desirable
• Proven track record in developing, executing and measuring complex marketing programs that drive performance
• Demonstrated ability to successfully navigate whitespace and complex stakeholder maps to develop novel solutions
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with varied internal stakeholders to identify key customer insights and translate into actionable strategies
• Solid business acumen and organizational skills with excellent interpersonal communication and negotiation skills for a wide variety of audiences, including senior management
• Strong people management and influencing skills even without direct reporting relationships
• Proven track record of operating in a fast-paced, high energy environment
• Strong analytical skills; detail and action oriented
• Self-motivated and a team player
• Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver results on multiple, complex, competing projects in a deadline-oriented environment

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $189,200.00 to $315,400.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 22.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
